Yes, there are fees on every transaction. That's standard for all of the card processors, and they're all close to the same amount.

Great info, short and to the point. Thanks! I'm looking at this device, 2nd gen but I'm really bummed about no mag reader. In your experience what's your rough estimate on how often a mag reader is the customer's only option for payment? in other words, How bad am I going to miss not having a mag reader? (FYI, I've been just entering card data manually on my phone.)

It's not very common anymore. 95% of the cards that I accept have the chip. If they don't, then you can easily type in the number. The strip readers are extremely cheap though. Less than seven bucks. They have a lighting cable version, but no USB-C version. The only option for a USB-C is to purchase the headphone Jack or lighting cable version along with an adapter.

Once fully charged up, how many hrs can I use for? Will take this one to market all day. Just worry that battery doesn't go last.

I use it a few times a day in my business and only need to charge it every two weeks or so.

You have a few options. 1. Bank account 2. Instant transfer to a debit card 3. You can get a Square debit card and have instant access. Thanks for watching and the kind compliment! 😁

Have u used it with multiple costumers? Bc 1st gen would like go to sleep after not being used for a few minutes and take a long time to wake up b4 I could process another sale

This one does the same thing. It seems to wake up faster. I was really annoyed by the old model. I haven't used this one as much, because the latest Square update allows you to tap the card on your phone. Which is really cool!

Yes, you can create a customized service charge.

Have you tried to get the swipe reader (mag strip??) to work on an Android with an adapter? If so, how do you get it to work. Also, I can't be the first to tell you that you should read books...I listen to audio books daily. Check into it!!! You would be great at suspense and romance. I could reach out to a narrator I met once if you are interested in how to get started!

I have used the adapter with no issues. You have to swipe it quite quickly. Thank you for the compliment! Yes, I hear it A LOT. On top of Amazon Influencer stuff, I do some voice work and I've been studying and prepping a studio for audio books. 😊

Yes. BUT, it just saves the card info to run when it is back online (as with any card reader) and doesn't guarantee that the customer's funds will be available.

I really dislike this reader . It’s confusing to use and isn’t as fast . The card reader options give me trouble . Now it won’t work tonight and the instructions are confusing saying I need to sign out basically to re connect .
