Every 6 months… I haven’t even had mine 4 months and replaced the odor button 2 times 😂

Thanks for more focus on the odor neutralizer function. Other vids seem disinterested in that feature. I’m looking at it simply for that reason. It would be my 4th shark in 13 years. All still work but last one won’t stay in locked upright piston while carrying. (Vac head hangs like a rag doll). We regularly bathe our midsized dog but that smell keeps us doing a full tear down and wash of our vacuums every couple/few weeks. Hoping the neutralizer thing works.

I'm happy you covered the neutralizer though I would like a better idea on what the scent is. I have issues with scents that can cause breathing problems for me so that's important. The neutralizer got my attention when I was looking at new vacs online, every one we've had over the years ends up reeking after a couple years. No matter how often the filters are cleaned there is that smell when using it. Yuck. I also like the idea of the power fins which they say don't get tangled with hair, myself & my daughter have longer hair which I always end up getting the scissors out to remove. I had been a fan of Dyson from their early years but they kept making improvements that I wasn't a fan of. I hated the ball technology nor was a I happy when they made it lower. When he originally he created the original he made it higher more so suited to himself & I'm taller so it worked for me. They also started moving toward cordless machines which aren't functional for me. I don't want to have to recharge something all the time or the fact that batteries lose a charge over time. I have a lot of area to cover so a plug in model is best suited for me & my family. Both my upright & canister vacs have lost suction & the turbines have stopped working. I will not buy replacement parts for a vac that stink to high heaven. lol I will say I'm a huge fan of Miele which I have upstairs but haven't found a good deal recently to justify buying a 2nd one for downstairs. I found it to be a real workhorse & being a bagged model has really eliminated the odor that the Dyson has.

This Stratos is the best vacuum I've ever had in 40 years of buying vacs. I've had Dysons and not at all impressed with them. I got a Shark Rotator with the Zero M a few years back. Amazing suction, which Shark is famous for, but hair did get caught in the brushroller. Gifted it to my daughter. Then, I moved onto the water filtration vacuums. Quantum X total waste of money. Hated it... too heavy and limited function. Got the Sirena, and it's really an awesome vacuum, tons of suction and versatility. But I struggled with the canister concept. Now I have the king of vacuums, the Shark Stratos. Best suction ever, and the 3 in 1 functions let me enjoy the convenience of an upright while still having the benefits of a canister or stick vac when using lift away and powered lift away! Great investment! Sucks everything out from deep within the carpet fibers. Hubby is relieved my vacuum-buying spree is over, now that I have the best of the best 😅

Do the brushes automatically spin or only while moving it back and forth?

I have 3 Bernese mountain dogs .. the hair has gotten caught in the first roller bar. Is there a way to clean that? I’ve had every vacuum there is on the market none lasting more than a couple years… including shark.. after paying over 500. 00 for this one , I don’t think I should have to clean hair out of anything but the dust cup and the filters… 😂

Do you like this better than the Dyson Animal 3? If so why?

What amp is this? Which one is the 16? I bought the rose and gold coloured one and it’s heavy!😩

It's Shark's most powerful vacuum ever. 1,416 watts. The one you got sounds like the previous model, the Vertex. Both weigh about the same, but more suction usually means bigger motors, meaning more weight. I LOVE my Stratos!! I'm almost 60, and it's definitely a little heavy, but soooooo worth the weight because it's truly the best vacuum ever! Strongest suction I've ever seen, such a versatile 3 in 1 vacuum (upright, canister, and stick), and I literally clean everything in my house with it. Sucks dust, dirt, and hair way deep down into carpeting fibers.
