Good luck with the chanel purchase I love Chanel hand bags they're so classy and timeless and you are right they are much cheaper in Italy than the uk and France

I personally can't see the point in getting a 'mini' version. The one you are trading it for is in keeping with the size of the 'iconic' range. If and when I get one it will be the classic 2.55

+Rebecca Hollick (Tutusandtea) because the mini is a single flap most comparison reviews say there's very little difference in what the mini fits vs the small flap but the difference in price is considerable. It's going to come down to stock at Heathrow because the mini is discounted there but none of the iconics are. If I can't get the mini I may wait and save for a larger one but I'm not sure the small flap makes sense for me given the reviews I've seen

I LOVE my RM JUMBO LOVE I recommend that one if you need to go bigger with that same classic look

I love handbags, and my dream is for my 21st to get a chanel bag. But you have to really look after the bags. I know you say a lot that you aren't particularly good at looking after them. The leathers are so soft, even the caviar leather which is the most durable leather. Just something to think about when spending so much on a handbag. :) I love handbag reviews, I would love to see more! xx

My friend has a tote in caviar leather and it is more durable, but it still has scratch marks on it. I just think they need to be looked after well so if you want to re sell it, you get the most money. Because you never lose money on chanel bags in perfect condition :)

I agree though, lambskin is beautiful. I keep debating between the two leathers. I keep debating whether I can bite the bullet and get a Chanel bag because they are so expensive and I think i would be scared to use it! x

+Katie B I never buy a bag PLANNING to sell it lol. My thinking behind it right now is that 1. it's a big birthday, 2. I have the cash - so I can justify the purchase and the bag will also be somewhat of a keepsake that IN THEORY I wont ever want to sell - 3. I'll be at the airport - so I'm already on holiday mode and I'm less likely to chicken out lol - 4. I'll then be ON holiday so I'm more likely to start using the bag straight away and break that 'daren't get it out of the box' barrier immediately. I feel a bit like it's now or never haha. Plus I'll save some money on tax and all that. Lambskin vs caviar is going to be a judgement call on the day I think

The hardware on the all black one is horrible and the clasp chips off and it looks rusted underneth, I got the silver hardware one and it great.

they stopped stocking the iconic chanel bags at heathrow airport :( i was there yesterday and they only have seasonal bags now :(((
