I can't believe how Philips has made this new generation of detectors so inconvenient to open for battery replacement. Thanks for the video, now I know how to try to. 😕

Thanks man. Nice video. The instruction from Philips is almost useless when using a normal screw driver for replacing the batteries.

Little note to someone using it in winter conditions and freezing. Mine even tho batteries seems full (drop test), replacing batteries made the sensor work again.

Here's a tip. The tiny little screw that goes up through the bottom rusts into the brass bush in the body so it's almost impossible to get out. Lag it in some kind of grease from new or you have to wreck the sensor to open it. Very poor design for something that's designed for outdoors..

Home Assistant, check it out www.home-assistant.io - running on separate local server and it is then connected to Philips Hue -hub to get access to the devices.
