Review of the One For All 1 Way Aerial Booster
Ойын-сауық
This is my short review of the One For All 1 Way Aerial Booster, which I bought for £10.99 from Argos. So far, is doing a good job of increasing the signal quality and strength, however it doesn't solve every problem, as I still suffer from picture breakup on the HD channels.

Thanks for the Video! I've also had an ongoing problem but only with the HD Channels on 101-105. My Youview box display a message saying that there was no signal yet the picture behind the message was perfect, yet watching the same channels using my TV Tuner fed from the RF Out on the Youview Box reports 100% Signal Quality. I thought i'd give this gizmo a try and it seems to have fixed the problem. In fairness the signal quality on these channels is still fluctating (and varies from 50% to 100%) but as the signal quality no longer drops to 0% (resulting in the annoying No Signal message) the HD channels on 101-105 are now working and seem stable. Thanks for the advice, you're a star!
Our flat screen television is working correctly without any picture breakup even on the HD channels after fixing the One For All 1 Way Aerial Booster. Well done and excellent demonstration Subterraneansecret! :)
Just wanted to say thanks for the easy to understand video,I was having trouble with the group of channels that included Quest,I bough one of these boosters and it is now giving me 100% signal level and signal quality,As said before you do need a male to male lead, but it as easy as plugging in 3 leads and your done,Thanks again
it really helped the signal, we got lost channels back, not all of them but a lot came back :) thanks for the review , you helped me deciding to buy it :))
Excellent thanks man. Good to actually see how much the signal increased when you plugged it in.
Thanks for taking the time to show this.
Thanks really helpful I’m going to pick mine up today and glad I knew about the extra cable needed as this wasn’t identified on the Argos website
Ty. Good vid. Short and sweet.
Helpful video with tv picture proof of signal gain. Thank you.
Fitted mine today 18/06/22 boosted all my signals. My worst signal was on Quest it kept breaking up, the signal went from 77-82% to 99-100%. Perfect picture now. Remember to get an additional male to male ariel leed to connect to your TV or digibox. I got one for £2 on ebay, that's where I got my 1 For All booster for £10 too.
This One For All 1 Way Aerial Booster has a Frequency range of 88-790 MHz, cutting out the possibility of 2g/3g/4g interference. Previously these types of boosters went from 88-862 MHz, something like the common round white Philex CCA111 boosters are best avoided if they're available new as they may boost up the reception of signals in the 800MHz band that have been handed over to the Phone companies to utilize for their phone signals. By 2020 ish the 700MHz band will have been handed over to the phone companies for 5g, shifting the Frequency Range down again for TV signals. (They are already changing over now by freeing up the 700MHz band at the transmitters around the country). Readying themselves for the hand over. The 754MHz frequencies seen in this video ie 754000 KHz, at 3mins run time may well already be gone if filmed in Feb 2018. Later on these TV booster companies will start to bring out units that go from 88-694Mhz, so something brought in 18 months time, if you get the 88-694Mhz boosters will be better than something brought now. It will effect tens of thousands of people for sure. Maybe they'll start to bring the 88-694Mhz boosters some time out in 2019. PS, unless you do need a 3 or 4 booster indoor amp best to avoid them as they're more expensive and I've noticed in some cases the Db gain is reduced per output. Just seen a pic on their website of this One For All 1 Way Aerial Booster, its a 6volt 400Ma power unit, so its 2.4 watts. If left on all the time, (not suggested) would be about 21 kilowatts in a year so about £3.00 a year. Something like a Virgin Media Tivo box is almost £30 a year. £300 in 10 years!, so power consumption is worth finding out & considering in any electrical device.

It works best in the attic nearer the aerial, so it's going to be on 100% of the time unless you wire a dedicated switch or a maybe alexa remote plug that can turn it off (and remote plugs also use a wee bit of power, reducing the savings). So best not worry about the piddly cost. Of course you could fit seperate aerials for all your tv's and do lots of cable runs :D or just get a 4 way splitter...….
Thanks for this video. I bought this product but hadn't been able to get it to work. Like you said, the Argos website doesn't tell you you'll need an extra cable and the instructions in the box don't make it clear either. I'm going to try again and see if it will work this time.
A Phenomenal Well Detailed Video All The Best To You.
That's awesome thanks mate, didn't know if the male to male would work. Though I had a duff one, was just about to take it back.
Thanks very good description of the product, Argos failed to show or give a good photographic idea of this product.
Thank You.
hi i found this signal booster a great help on my new t.v well worth the money
Thank you so much!!!!! Yes why dont they say you need a cable? i'll finish watching once I get one.
Cheers bro🍀
I can't pick up every channel but what I can pick up is perfect on all channels. Every single BBC TV channel is a mess of noise, including BBC radio on the TV. The only BBC channels that work with no issues are bbc1 hd and bbc2 hd. I'm not so sure if I'm in need of an amp but there doesn't seem to be any obvious source of interference either. It's connected via a rooftop ariel. You mention the weather, although unrelated, I find that cold weather affects the WiFi
Update: My signal is better without, this product must be a gimmick. I read many comments about how bad it was yet I believed it must have been because theirs was faulty, I’m sending mine back ASAP,
Just about to order one as I keep losing channels, fingers crossed it works.
it improved my signal strength from 90 to 100 so far I'm happy with it but you didnt explain in the video how to set it up properly
We bought the twon booster one form Argos because they didn't have a single unit one but it ain't working. We only have 1 TV so would we need a single unit one or would it not make a difference? We're also in a new build block of flats so not sure if that'll make a difference?
Does anyone have a detailed, visual on how to connect a signal booster to my tv/freeplay receiver?
Hi, does this work for vhf/uhf Stations? Please advise
Great video have you the link
Does this also extend the range
@Subterranean Secret - What's the difference between "signal strength" and "signal quality"? On several of my Freeview channels I get good strength and poor quality, which is the opposite of what you appeared to have. Therefore, I'm not sure if this booster would work for me.
I need some advice (please) I have the following LG TV 40UH63 SV9601 1 way TV SIGNAL Booster (one for all) SV4960 Indoor aerial (one for all) I can't get any programmes found when it is all connected & I do a auto tune am I doing something wrong if so what & is there any advice for me please ?

It could be that you're just too far away from your transmitter or that you're on the wrong transmitter. Have a look on the Freeview website and put your address into the coverage checker.

You didn’t show how to connect the booster…. This is what we are all looking to find out 🙄
My booster is a ONE FOR ALL
very badly explained !!! it does not show which cable goes where from where to where !!! DO IT AGAIN

the cable from the wall outlet goes to the bottom part of the booster and then another cable goes into the front part of the booster to the back of TV
There was no explanation of how to connect the booster to both the TV and aerial imput and no mention of the need for another cable to connect the latter to the booster. There was no actual demonstration - all words. Poor review.

Maybe it's faulty, or perhaps the cable you're using is of a low quality. Is not guaranteed to work, but in my case, it did improve the signal.

It doesn't work for you. Maybe the issue you have is not solvable by a booster. Maybe your aerial is just too poor for it to have an effect, or maybe you have a bad cable. it's not a magic fix. Boosters are amplifiers. If you amplify a bad microphone you just get louder interference. Garbage in, garbage out. That said there is a trick you can try to help really bad aerials, that is install the booster as close to the aerial as possible instead of beside the tv for the biggest improvement. That may mean splicing it in your attic. Also you might already have another booster in your attic! 2 of them in series can make things worse. You see where I am going with this, it will help a LOT of people but sometimes you need a specialist.
Take it from me. Waste of money

@@olympusplumbingheating5027You should use booster which which has a unit to be installed near antenna and then from that unit you get the output cable to your TV. When signals travel through wire the signals strength drop significantly
