Gorgeous images and video. I am using this lens for almost 2 years and really love it. Hopefully OM System will eventually make a much better camera (unfortunately the OM-1 Mark 2 is not the one with only marginal improvements) to match the video features of G9 Mark 2 and autofocus of recent Canon, Sony and Nikon cameras.

Nice one, stunning pictures! Recently traded my flagship fullformat mirrorless camera and 500/4 lens for the om-1 mk2 & 300mm f/4. Had it for a week now. First impression is great. Enjoying the smaler size and lighter gear for sure.

So Norway... I've stopped watching this video part-way through. Why? Because I'm going to wait for my girl to finish work so we can what it together. She's not a photographer, but she's going to love that 'review' segment early on (we both have great taste☺). Other than that - Lkd & Subd and looking forward to rummaging through your content. All the best from a cabin in a swamp in a rainforest in New Zealand.

I bought this lens a few month ago and like it a lot. I only find the sun hood too big and complicated to put on with that screw mechanism.

what beautiful images. What post-processing did you do? Because the photos don't come out of the camera that way. anyway, they are beautiful, video footage and photos. my compliments for that.👍👏

The results are amazing! I have the OM1II. It has better autofocus but the difference isn`t huge. P.S.: Wich is better, full format and cropping or mft without cropping?

I'm not an expert on the technical details, but if you have an FF camera with around 60mp sensor, and crop that 2x, you will get a similar comparison to the sensor in OM-1. But the OM-1 also has a stacked sensor. I think the most important thing, is that you have a camera that you enjoy using :)

I hate to say it...but a 300mm/4.5 is considered very slow. And since m4/3 CAN NOT make 1/1 camera (many called it "full frame") & then why new owner just doesn't say 300-800/4.5? All m4/3 companies need to stop scamming buyers with small number (1/2#) when it is really double that #.

They dont say it's 300-800 beacause it's not. The "mm" number is a physical element of the lens, not the field of view. Its the distance from the sensor to the centre of the focal point. To say it's a 300-800 would be lying, its 150-400 on a camera with a tighter crop than a comparable full frame. Full frame isn't 1/1, it is not the standard that all photography formats are based off, its only other name is a 35mm and its actually a small format for photography, with medium format 6x7 or 6x9 being much bigger and large format leagues beyond that. If you're using a medium format system as many pros were back in the 90s, the 35mm or "full frame" was the crop camera... If you can't work out the conversion for the lenses you use on your chosen system, thats on you, not on the lens manufacturer.
