Thanks. I have been wanting a vice from my drill press also. And you are right about being dangerous without one. I’ve heard of people having broken fingers and hands because they could not hold onto whatever they were drilling.

The replaceable jaws are good not because of replacing the metal ones. But instead for making your own softwood jaws. If you’re using the vise with wood you want wood jaws, preferably softer wood than your work piece, so it doesn’t damage the work piece.
