Review Of The ATF Imported US Cartridge Belt.

You get what you pay for for this item. Overall very nice but there are some aspects that could use improvements such as the closing clasp.
I have used this belt since I recorded the video and the belt stays closed for that majority of the time but there are certain instances where it comes undone such as when you adjust the belt.

I would like everyone to know that ATF has improved their product since then. They are now much much better than their previous JQMD belts. I own a new JQMD belt and most of the inaccuracies that he pointed out have been fixed 🙂.

Just to clarify, the internal restraining snap was intended for use with stripper clips for the Springfield bolt action rifle. Each pocket held two five round clips, the internal strap wrapped around one. That way you could pop the flap and pull out one clip while not worrying about the other falling out if you didn't take the time to reclose the flap. The strap serves no purpose when the belt is used to hold the en-bloc clips for the M1 Garand. Late WW2 production omitted the internal strap to save cost, as by that time all riflemen had the M1 and the strap was no longer useful.

Hello, thank you for replying to my question. The ones that I have do, and they are only a few months old. When I e=mailed A.T.F. they told me that it was the fault of the design, and that the army always had that problem, because the eyelets are to small to hold the webbing. What is your opinion on this?

Unless they were heavily used, your reproductions should not fray so easily. I’ve originals and I’ve seen plenty of originals that do not have fraying unless they were heavily used. If yours are fraying from just wearing it time to time, that’s not correct. Fraying would only happen from extensive use.

I have a question; I recently purchased an M-1936 us made reproduction pistol belt from At the Front. the cotton is already starting to fray around the eyelets, and I was just wondering if this is normal for all reproduction cotton pistol belts? I was told that it was a bad design by the U.S. army in the material the they decided to use. Do you know if this actually ever happen to the W.W.2 issued web belts?

@@worldwarguy459 After re-watching your video, I have notice that the eyelets on the issued belt are larger than the ones on A.T.F.’s belt. (No, I’m Not trying to start any trouble!)
