One year later and I'm still at Costco, sampling their eatable products, then back, standing in the line, dealing with covid, etc and still you haven't given an answer... So WTH should I do?! Buy or Not🥸

The instructions said that it could take about 20 shaves before you experience the full benefits of the shaver. Some men may benefit from a pre electric shave lotion or cream. Once your face gets used to the shaver I think you'll find the shaver to be a fine product and a good value. I bought this same model at Costco. 👍🏼✌🏽

I got the Philips Norelco 650 shaver for Christmas this year, I haven't tried it yet

I bought mines today and yes!!! The box is like 5 times bigger then it needs to be. WTF! I bought it at Costco and when I picked up the box it felt empty.

For this for Christmas. Found it funny the box was so damn big. Lots of empty space.

I shave with facial cleaner or shaving cream, much more comfortable. Thanks for the video.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 6800 is a redesigned and available from Costco now. It's the same package that includes a hard case and extra set of blades. You get a lot for the money compared with other Noreleco models from other sources. Costco has an excellent return policy, so if the shaver doesn't work for you just bring it back.

If mine ever breaks I'm treating myself to one with a dock. The worst part about this shaver is having a loose cord floating around the sink. It's DC so there's no electrocution risk, it just looks tacky.

My boyfriend gets irritated skin from shaving and I’m looking for some alternative for him. Do you have any experience with that and can tell me if this device is a good choice for this problem?

I find if I lather up before as if I were using a wet razor it gives a much closer and smooth shave

I use "lectric shave". Idk if it helps much but it smells good.

I still a fan of Gillette razors. I brought a Braun one. And takes some time to get used to it. You need to shave a couple time to shave everything. 😉🙄👍

$90 at Costco as of November 11, 2021. $200 for a Braun 9.

I am not trading my old electric shaver until I can shave with it plugged in. Not sure how the battery will last.

Most won't turn on while plugged in as to avoid people using in the in shower and dying, given that it's IPX7 rated. So going by that, try to get a non-water resistant electric shaver, which proably won't have that limitation.

Now 64.99 at Costco for Philips 6500 after $25.00 savings. The Braun S9 is 159.99 with -$40.00 deal.

Shitty.

First off any time you have detachable trimmer instead of a built in trimmer is a red flag it is hassle and over a short period of time going back and forth with the trimmer and razor head I can see something breaking or chances of missplaceing one of the two.

Yeah I was concerned about that too, and it has become easier over time to change the heads as it wears, but it's been four years and it still works fine. I just wish it had a dock. I don't need to charge it very often but when I do I have to dig out the buried power cord.

Can you use this on body hair

NO.....this kind of shavers are only to beard, or even head, but not suitable for body hair. Even if you have a long beard you have to trim it first, and then use the electric shaver.

Just bought the 6600 the other day and it’s almost identical. I can tell you that it’s absolutely trash. The motor sounds like it’s ready to die (even with overnight charging) and it plucks rather than cuts.

air in the box be getting expensive .. 50 for the shaves and equipment, and 50 for the air and box..

I’m going to pass. Though it looks like it does a decent job on beard (and unibrow!), it’s really loud compared to my old 2300. Plus the extra ridge mentioned making under the nose difficult isn’t worth and extra $50 for me.

Yeah shoving the shaver into my nostrils to get those little hairs is annoying. The battery life has been pretty amazing though.

That's the great thing about Costco, you can just return it after using it for 2 years. Mines still working okay, battery life seems to have dropped to about 70% of its original time.

So I just bought this from Costco: Pros: Gave me a nice shave, closer than my old electric razor. Pretty comfortable to use. Cons: The trimmer attachment is legit complete garbage, not even worth using. The "comfort" rim around the blade is a bit too wide and makes getting under nose a bit tricky. Overall: 6/10 Worth the money but not amazing.

You didn't say anything about shaving with a wet face.
