I got this model a few weeks ago. Beware of the spring-loaded ejection method for installing/removing the microSDHC card. I fumbled as I was putting it in, the card shot out of the slot & across the room, somewhere. I still haven't found it. Had to use a different card. Also note this cam is designed for one time installation only. It is supposed to be glued to your windshield permanently. It has a detachable base / ball socket that removes from the camera. My package came with a spare base / ball socket to allow another mounting in either another location on your vehicle or in another vehicle. I think that was a poor design choice on Garmin's part. I have figured out a way to mount the cam to a piece of "Scotch Extreme" fastener, a kind of "super Velcro" that EXPass turnpike transponders also use. That way I can peel off the cam and relocate it many different times, using different pieces of "Scotch Extreme":

@@cyber_player38 dash cam does it automatically , if you take sd card out and put it in your laptop, you will get a video from each journey .

@@radoslaw123456789 I put the micro SD into a USB reader and plug into my laptop. Then it is easy to view the time /date stamped file segments.

When I had to buy a replacement fitting for the windscreen (apparently genuine Garmin supplied by Amazon) That fitting connects with the ball joint and also a magnet. Disconnecting at the magnetic junction makes temporary removal very easy.

Watching this in 2021. Isn't 60 fps more normal nowadays? Will 30 fps be enough to capture a good picture of the license plate of a moving vehicle?

I don’t understand why it needs WiFi and not use Bluetooth to connect to phone to camera. Does that mean it can only use the app on the phone when home?

Can you use this dash camera as a rear window or rear cabin camera? I mean, would it be suitable for these 2 purposes?!?!!

non-stop recording to MicroSD. If you want to save directly to mobile then you have to press "save video" on mobile app and it saves to your mobile about 30 sec of video while saving to MicroSD at same time as I understood.

Saves a loop of videos that are one min each to size of SD card. Videos can then be stitched together on your computer
