I got mine, an '89, for $1100. Only had 70,000 miles on it. That was 4 years and 65,000 miles ago and she's still going strong. I've driven that old boat everywhere, including 2 cross country trips. One from Los Angeles to New Orleans (4K mi. round trip), one from LA to Vancouver (2k mi.). Say what you want about em but they're reliable as hell. In all that time I've only had to do around $300 worth of maintenance. The GM parts from that time are so plentiful and cheap that it makes the vast majority of repairs less that $50. Even the gas mileage is pretty damn good, 29ish mph city. Pretty good for a car older than I am. I love my old Ciera❤️️

We have had two of these. Both were SL trim, one was a 1995 and the other was a 1996. Both of them had the 3.1 L V6, the 1996 head head gasket failure at about 165,000 miles. The 1995 is still running today with about 198,000 miles.

HECTIKVIDZ I did. And I am a classic 1980s and 1990s general motors car guy. Even though I was only born in 1994. I also have a 1996 Chevrolet suburban LS with the 350 that has just over 320,000 miles on it and it is running strong as well. I also used to have a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 royale brome that went to about 335,000 miles. It was my parents car and they bought it clear back in 96. I did. These Cieras were comfortable as hell, indeed! Although I do think the 86 I used to own was even more comfortable than the more modern 94 but they were both really easy to drive, comfortable, and quite reliable. If they still made them, I'd probably buy another one. Although now I drive a 2011 Chevy Malibu which I still consider as a very distant relation since the 97 Cutlass replaced the Ciera and it was just an upscale Malibu of that time period. I love my Malibu but I'd still drive a Ciera as a second daily driver any day of the week.

And the 3.1 L I will also say is a much happier engine than you would think for only having 160 hp. The only one of these a body vehicles I have ever been in with the four-cylinder was my grandmothers 1986 Buick Century, but it had the old 2.5 L iron Duke. And I think it made it to about 320,000 miles or so.

@@hectikvidz4673 It's funny how GM kept the GMT400 trucks from 1987 looking fairly modern 12 years later, but then they blew it on this machine. Then again, if your target demographic is old white people it's probably not quite a big deal 😂
