JETSON BOLT PRO REVIEW: I just used the Jetson Bolt Pro for the first time yesterday, they were sold out at nearly every location so I drove 4 hours from Dallas to Houston to pick up a Bolt Pro. I rode it out of the box and got 9 miles till it died while riding around the streets in downtown Houston only using the throttle. There were frequent stops/breaking, it was 80 percent charged out of the box. I rode it for the second time today fully charged and got a total of 22 miles while doing about 80-90 percent “pedal assist” and just a little bit of the throttle here and there. Overall from 1-10 I’d rate it an 8.5. Love the throttle/pedal assist combo, it’s versatile and a lot of fun to ride. Downside is it’s a single speed so when you use the pedal assist you don’t use a lot of energy but there’s only one speed to go and that’s full speed. It’s easy to ride that speed despite that you’re pedaling fast because it’s only 1 gear/speed. On the very last battery bar the throttle stopped working due to low battery and pedal assist would only go about 8-10mph and that was at around mile 22, so it became a bit unusable/dead. I do wish there was an extra gear, I averaged 13pmh for the 22 miles that I rode using pedal assist. It handles bumps in the road a lot better than the electric rental scooters and bikes, doesn’t go quite as fast. Top speed with throttle was 15mph, top speed for pedal was between 13-14mph and I averaged that for the 22 miles I rode, it was also windy too. Still overall it’s an absolute steal to have this performance and versatility in a $300 bike. So glad I bought it and it was worth driving the 4 hours just to purchase it! Highly recommend! The Pro has bigger tired tires, 20-30 mile pedal assist range, more powerful electric motor along with pressing down on the cruise control for 4 seconds to turn on the headlight as compared to holding down the horn to turn on the headlight. These are the updates on the PRO and you can get the PRO at Costco Wholesale if they aren’t sold out for $325 including tax.

@@sinanc3761 Haha I appreciate that man! I just might follow up on that recommendation! I’ve had it for 6 months and have put roughly 1,500 mlies on it and haven’t had any battery issues! Kick stand isn’t as sturdy as it was when I got it and the breaks need to be adjusted/maintained but other than that it’s been extremely dependable. You should look into getting one man you’ll love it!

The KZread recommendation algorithm must be following me because I was just admiring this at Costco the other day.

Bought one at Costco a week ago for $399.00 Canadian. I look at it as my first street legal electric mini bike. I’m very happy with the purchase. I’m 6’ and 220 lbs. it won’t be for everybody though

Went to costco today Jan 9th, Christiana mall DE, after christmas and they r marked down to $199. picked one up for our florida trip. 7 left.

I would buy it if it had pedals and I can switch to manual pedaling for days I want a little exercise! I love the compact size and collapsible feature.

Really an Escooter. I bought a refurb B condition for $250 less 10% coupon and it showed up with one tiny scuff on the paint, I'm very pleased.

I had a motorcycle license at 14... this thing isn’t exactly shredding it going 70 mph down a gravel road and then going into my cousin’s cattle pasture to do burnouts until I hit 60 mph and then tried to jump it and always end up nearly missing it and falling off a small cliff (it was only like 20-30 ft drop off, but still surely painful). It’s 17 mph top speed, that’s like a really really slow bicycle pedaling speed for me... You’ll be able to handle it, just don’t try to jump a bus with it (because you’ll be going way to slow to make it...)

You can get it up to 19mph through the app.

This is a great little scooter but mine died after a little over a year. The battery charges to full. I hold the button down to turn it on and it shows a full battery. When I release the button the battery goes dead. I have talked to several people in RV parks that have had the same problem . So I guess it like everything that comes from China. It’s disposable. To bad cause it’s a great little scooter.

funny you'd mention that, however these "bikes" aren't even legal in the UK, same goes for the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and some other EU countries. The fine you'll risk is more then the price of the bike.

They may only cost 300 dollar, but in the netherlands they cost 360-450 euro. However since this vehicle isn't street legal by dutch law, you risk a hefty fine! I know, because I stupidly bought one without checking local laws, one cop saw me pulled me over... luckily I got a warning, he added if they saw me again driving it they would fine me (360 euro) and the vehicle would be confiscated.

Without pedals, it is not a electric "bicycle". In Canada you would need M license, insurance, plates to operate it.. on the road only.

36V at 5.2Ah is not gonna last 17 miles. That's around the same as the Ninebot E22 which has around 10 miles of real world range.

Are there restrictions on the size of electric motors? All the ones I've seen in the US are so weak. While working in China I've had several ebikes (more like escooters) with motors that range from 1000-2000w which is more than enough power. In low "gear" with my wife and I aboard our current ebike (72v 1200w motor w/ 32ah battery) we can go 43km/h for several hours.

I've went thru 2 e bikes, and both companys did the same thing...Bursted back tires...and I'm no way near 200 lbs..I weight 157 lbs. Only made for children...Don't buy it if your an adult...otherwise you will constantly be buying tires....lookin for a regular bike with a motor on it...that pedals to...............wish me luck Princess JAnie

The one I have now, I Love it, but the tire Bursts constantly. Its under one year warrenty. I' think an solid tire, would work..Thanks Paul got any suggestions, would appreciate it, what else I could do...

Do you think its sabatoge, my mechanic said the newest one , jane, its breaking cause the weigh It can't take it..I put the tire on last week, it looks like an 5 year old tire, already...They better just give me my money back..getting a regualar tire, e bike instead.16" tire, that has a chain, and a motor,on it.
