India are True champions, from 22/3 to 176/7 , indian batter played both spin and pace well. from 15- 20 overs indian batters smashed their pacers. SA true chokers 12=2 to 147/4 in 15 overs and then lost it. south African batters played spin extraordinarily but against pace of Bumrah, arshdeep and Hardik, they surrendered.

i agree but compared to klassen its still can be better. Dube was similar to klassen , scoring at very high strike rate and compared to other innings monumental improvement but not the best.

Bumrah covered all those things and bumrah may not able to do that day in and day out and arshdeep might not have a superb 19th over, if you play this situation once again 9 of 10 times they will win and we were lucky that one time of losing was on the finals,

With Virat & Rohit retiring, I expect going forward team 11 selections to be based solely on conditions & team balance. I understand that wasn't possible in this tournament with VK opening & that locked our combination a certain way, going forward hopefully as Prasanna points out, we respect the conditions & field the best possible 11 on the day.

While I agree that there could have been few lapses on the part of RG and India Management, this is not the time to discuss about the strategic moves conceived as errors by Pdogg. It seems to be more like sound of despair by Pdogg and its hard for me to take it as constructive criticism. SA have clawed their back in all the league matches and never seen convincing in this tournament. For India, the one-off match was against Pakistan and the victory against USA could have been more convincing. The reason as to why India did not include Siraj was that they had a dilemma as to who should be dropped. they had to drop one of these 3 viz., Akshar Patel, Jadeja, Kuldeep. With Akshar and Kuldeep bowling so well & Akshar's stellar performance as batsman and fielder, the only choice was to drop Jadeja, which they did not want. So for some one to keep saying that India made strategical mistakes repeatedly seems to be more borne out of frustration than anything constructive. SA lived upto their names as chokers as 30 of 30 balls with 5 wickets should be anyday gettable. They did not know how to play and truly deserve to be ending up as losers.

PDogg was always forthright in his views. I fully agree with his analysis. Had Siraj played instead of the off-colour Jadeja, we would have won comfortably. I agree with Pdogg. In super 8matches at WIndies Jaiswal must have opened along with Rohit and Virat should have played no.3 for stability. Virat cannot be dropped for any reason once after selected in Squard. Ppl justify Dube's inclusion with some runs in finals but they miss to see that what if India lost in Semi's level?

From south Africa's perspective, a slight tactical error in the hindsight when they decided to take single of 17.6, and Maharaj was on strike with 20 required from 2 overs. Miller should have backed himself and denied that single. Just 1 run in the 1st 3 balls of 19th, all of a sudden it went out of reach.

Today Ottiniel Baartman in place of maharaj/shamsi would have been a brilliant decision ... on barbados track, we have seen it that pacers take wkts.. and saf do not have death bowling apart from nortje ... and India is an opponent that wants spin rather than pace... And baartman is quite an accurate bowler .. everything pointed towards baartman .. they went with shamsi ... paid the price in death overs, middle overs etc... Purely strategic blunder from SAF ..
