REVIEW / HOW TO: Flexible Curtain Tracks - More Privacy & Less Noise!

Ойын-сауық

I just installed some Flexible Curtain Tracks ( amzn.to/3yhWvta and some blackout curtains ( amzn.to/3dFyTak ). Its been great to reduce noise and sound and also provide privacy to store away background stuff, or you can use it to divide a room. In this video I will install and review these new curtain track and curtains.

Working from home, I need less noise and more privacy when on Zoom and video conference calls as well as when recording narration. This flexible curved curtain track is able to be mounted on the ceiling and can cover up 1/2 the room including background storage and clutter as well as a distracting corner door. It also lowers the sound in the room from outside and from my speaker phone calls.
You will need the following tools and parts:
Flexible Curtain Tracks ( amzn.to/3yhWvta )
Blackout or other curtains ( amzn.to/3dFyTak )
1/4 drill bit
Power Drill / Screwdriver ( amzn.to/3jHsWxb )
- Pliers ( amzn.to/3hfnboU )
- Hack Saw (amzn.to/3jHuVBH ) OR Tin Snips ( amzn.to/36aYqUD ) To trim the track if you need it shorter.
Overall It took about 2-3 hours to put up the track and curtains. The 20 feet of track kit came with all the hardware for the job. The most time was taken bending the metal track to a straight line and marking out the ceiling points.
If I had to do it again, I would have clipped the mounts onto the track the mounted the track directly to the ceiling. Clipping the track to the mounting hardware needs a lot of wrist and arm muscle. By preinstalling the clips, it would require less wrist action.
For 20 feet of track it came with about 48 roller hooks which is okay for 6 panels. You can buy more roller hooks ( amzn.to/36abaLf ) for more curtain panels.
Using it for over a week, I get less noise distraction and able to get more work done at my home office.

Thanks for the video. I was concerned about how to cut the tracks and you were the only person to give details on that. Most videos just told me to measure, drill and install.

Is it possible to join two parts of this rail and get a longer extension?

I'm wondering how the 2nd hole for the mounting clip is accessed? It's under the spring loaded plastic and there seems to be no way to get to it. I prefer to use rivets as it's for a camper, and need clear access, but screw heads are too big too, even with the plastic part slid back by unclipping the little hook. DId you use two screws, or only one? I've watched several videos (lost my instructions unfortunately) and nobody shows this part.

Were they easy to cut with tin snips? I just put my track up, and med to remove 2,5 inches… measured wrong. Dont wanna have to take the track down to saw…. Cant saw when it is up as it takes a lot of maneuvering and is tough to do while the track is up and installed. (8 mounted on wall btw
