Always rinse your dry rice with cold water in a fine mesh colander ‘til the water runs clear. Removing the extra powdery starch helps to prevent boil overs and a huge mess from going out of the steam hole. Asian cultures have done this for centuries and washing it helps to remove microscopic dirt or bugs in it. That’s a very cute rice maker for one to two people.

If you like your rice fluffy you can rinse it with cold water and drain before cooking. Each grain will be separate

Thank you for your video. Just bought this cooker and it kept boiling over, despite rinsing. Followed your directions…and the rice came out very nicely! Minimal boiling over and the rice was nice and fluffy.

Finally. This is the best video for this rice cooker. A lot of videos about this rice cooker and this is the only one that has the exact ratio of rice and water. I lost my manual ❤❤. Thanks a lot

Nice video! FYI, I wash my rice and use BROTH instead of water for flavor. THANKS FOR THE 22 minute timer, It’s good to know! I learned not to leave on warm too long, the rice at the bottom will overcook and turn brown. Other than that, this has made PERFECT RICE EVERY TIME!

Great review and thanks for actually cooking some rice with it for those of us who need to SEE things! One suggestion though. The little cooker looks TINY compared to you being closer to the camera. You should stand behind the rice cooker.

You did it wrong if you use the cup that comes with it, you match the water with the same amount. The way you did it was for a standard measuring cup !!
