In this video, George takes us through the C400’s headline specs including its brand-new imaging sensor that offers 6K 60p RAW and an industry-first triple BASE ISO. Update - We are aware that Dual Pixel CMOS AF II is only available up to 60p so cannot be used for 120p slow motion shooting modes. We were only made aware of that after we reviewed the camera and did not test AF performance at 120p.

Camera looks awesome, I think this'll be the next camera for me! I do hope they update to include a 1.5x anamorphic de-squeeze and if at all possible a taller full frame open gate mode for social shooting and anamorphic - it'd make this a real no-brainer for the money!

I am currently hesitating to switch back to Canon because I previously had the C100MkII + Pocket 6k Pro, and I switched to Sony (FX3 and FX6), but I have never really been a huge fan of the image. I have always somewhat regretted selling my Canon and Blackmagic. I also rented the Canon C70 once and loved the image as well; I found it more pleasant and more organic than what comes out of my Sony cameras. However, I don't quite understand why people are complaining about the lack of a DGO sensor. Is it for the dynamic range or something else? Because from what I've seen, it's almost the same in terms of dynamic range (16 instead of 16+), except that here it will be a constant 16 stops, unlike the C70 where it drops to 14 in slow motion. Am I missing something?

@@JeanSebastienLEGER DGO is the key for the amazing Dynamic Range on the C300iii and the C70. It is also used by Arri so that could give you an idea of the range and importance of the feature. The C400 is already good for dynamic range without having DGO but not the same. Disadvantage of DGO slower sensor readout speed.

That electronic stabe is jerky af. I want to like this so bad but it’s too much for what it is.. this should’ve been $7k max.. you’re looking at 8,500-9000 out the door.

Correction, the digital image stabilization is a must if you are using this camera but just like the R3, it's going to be jerky unless you focus on the subject while you are walking and the digital IBIS will not jerk. So the key is to focus on something to keep it from jerking around

struggled with the jerkiness myself in my R5C with digital IS. turns out in most cases it was the lens IS fighting the EIS. I mostly stick to EIS now with non IS lenses and the results are a lot better. And I don’t bother with EIS with IS lenses; again, much better
