Hi guys, Jon here-this game looks AMAZING! Can’t wait to get a copy of this!
Thanks guys, delighted to see you fully review BC, my first foray into BCS and already a massive favourite. I would absolutely urge you to adopt the optional (obligatory for BC) Orders rules, and drop the chit pull and activate by choice. Orders are a revelation, providing fascinating and challenging friction to strategic choices.
Grant knows what a Ghostbusters proton pack is! What a nerd! ❤😂
Really liking this series, if only two scenarios into PLS myself. Coming recently from GCACW it has a similar maneuver feeling, but with chunkier puzzles for each formation activation. I’m still looking at that list of combat modifiers for every single roll too! Excited to see you guys get to the rest of the series next year.

Interesting, I'm in sort of the inverse position as a BCS player preparing to plunge into GCACW.
I would grab the map off Vassal and print it on vinyl or banner material and increase the size to 4’x8’. I would also clip the corners of those player aids.
You guys have to play Panzers Last Stand. An awesome BCS game.

Easily my favorite, though I've yet to play all the entries
Great review! Big fan of BCS. The one game that you didn't mention was the first in the series, and in my opinion the best of all, hands down is Last Blitzkrieg. I own all of the BCS games and enjoy them all, but Last Blitzkrieg, to me, really does it for me. I love the way the German's have to coordinate their attacks along the narrow roads through the Ardennes, with the Americans having the same difficulties when they mount their counterattacks. I just love the feel and flow of the game.

I agree, LB is the best in the series.

@@tomfaust5521 We just acquired a copy. Maybe next year.
When I saw the title I though it was about racing in the Circus Maximus... :P

The title is taken from a popular reminiscence of a British tank commander who fought in the campaign.
Is it just me…or is the complexity of some games system’s complexity getting in the way of playing the game

Yes, there are absolutely systems that do that. But in this instance, the complexity is well worth the pay off (for me), but I can understand how that won't be to everyone's tastes.
I remember the book Brazen Chariots, if the game is as good as the book I’m in.

The game is excellent. I think is has the perfect balance of having just enough power to do what you need, but not enough to do everything you might want.
Can you please provide the link to where you got the formation cards? Thanks
