I remember smelling the figures when I opened them as a kid. My vintage cabinet still smells like it when I open it. Good times! Love the VC, AT-AT. I've got the one from ROTJ as well, but it is sealed & comes with a variant of the AT-AT driver. Black boots & Black gloves. Have a great day!

Man, the AT-AT is a timeless vehicle. The display possibilities with this thing are endless. Hoth obviously, but Endor, Kashyyyk, and even Jabiim would all welcome a huge walker like this. Thanks for the review!

A stunning vehicle, I had the original around 1981, and this one would've blown me away. Lots of great features, sounds and play potential - loving the red light too. Funny you should pick the Tie Fighter pilot up in your comparison as the AT-AT driver helmet in the film were re-purposed Tie helmets. Nice review of one of the best vehicles in the Star Wars universe 👍🤘🍺

When Chewie yeets that officer on the hangar level in a A New Hope, you’ll notice he has a DL-44 like Han. So it’ likely an imperial officer’s sidearm option

Lol....I do exactly the same. As soon as I've opened a figure,I have to smell it!! I've always done it. It's just force of habit now!! The smell was definitely something that I remember,and always liked. I remember opening up Logray one Xmas back in the mid 80's,and it always had a distinctive plastic smell to it. I've done it ever since!! Thank god I'm not the only one......I thought I was a bit of a weirdo until I watched this lol😂 There's one of these AT-AT's and also a Y-Wing on Facebook marketplace not too far away from me. They're both going for £100 the pair. They've both got accessories missing,but the main bulk of them is there. Think there might even be a couple of figures with them as well. I know there is definitely an R2 unit in with the Y-Wing. I might be cheeky and offer a low price!! They can only say yes or no. I will let you know. I'm just after something really nice to start the 3,75" collection off again. Great review and a lovely bit of kit that is. I never had an at-at as a kid. The biggest thing I had was a rebel transporter!! 👍

A great acquisition congratulations lots of fun I remember qhen I found my first vintage At-At found in a flea market for 10$ Then back in 2010 when the big version came out I was working at Toys R Us and I bought the first one we received I played a lot with the sounds took lots of pictures bought lots of snowtroopers to fit the transport. I even took it out in the snow and took several pictures I will try to send them on FB

Wow! I love that AT AT walker! I love the lights and the accurate cockpit but the speeder bike hatch that is amazing and great playerbility! I remember getting my Kenner walker when I was about 10 and the man let me have it for £5 WHAT! A very sentimentle peice! I have to say my fave ship along with the falcon is the imperial shuttle I love the design, I just love the scene when it lands on Endor and u see the wings move up just beautiful! Great video and review :-)

The AT-AT was a vehicle I never owned due to a lack of space for it. Same for the Falcon. I had a hard enough time keeping smaller ships and vehicles in toyboxes let alone something as massive as those. If I could ever collect again and I know I say that a lot they would both be vehicles I’d like to own just on the grounds of it’d be nice to have something that feels like a Holy Grail for a childhood toy that I never got to have. I did have the Saga Collection AT-AT Driver and though I never found his Snow Trooper counterpart I have the Snow Trooper Commander there from Black Series. I also have two Scout Troopers on the white speeder bikes which I assume they just repacked here. I think the Scout Troopers who kidnap Grogu had white speeders so maybe you can give it to one of them. Recreate the chase with IG-11. Just an idea. Speaking of the Holy Grail, Julian Glover has certainly made his way into nearly every franchise from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, James Bond, Harry Potter and Game Of Thrones. Great character who has been in everything. Would have been great to see him in the Sequels or in some future media as an elder Veers as it’s been said in both Legends and New Canon he survived The Battle Of Hoth. A video game I think even had his son voice the character so the lineage continues in the family if they ever need him to be a little younger in something like Mando or whatever. Anyway I think that’s it for now but knowing me I’ve forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.

Never knew this one came out..would swap it out for my old POTF one which still has active sound boards 21 years ago..it's a bit wobbly but good for where it lives..on my floor. You could use that Speeder in a Mandalorian display..they would just need a bit of scuff and bingo something hidden, something out there..blown away by the internals..cheers Nick🍺🍺🍻

The two thing is I feel they should’ve came with a second atat driver and a release of the snow scout trooper to go with the speeder break

Hold down any of the buttons inside and outside for a while and they play additional sound effects and phrases. Also when you open the rear cargo door there is a button on the floor beside the speeder bike that automatically moves the speeder bike into launch position and it has sound effects with that button as well.

The newest snow speeder and AT ST look awesome with that AT AT. I got my son the Lego AT AT for Xmas, guess wot I'll be doing all day. 😆

Excellent review. I got this AT-AT in 2010, and it blew me away. I also have the 1981 vintage version complete with the box too. Did you know you can fit five figures in the head, the two drivers up front, another AT-AT commander behind them, and General Veers and a Snowtrooper standing at the back, just like in the movie. You can also fit about 18 or so figures in the main hold, and you can fit two speeder bikes side by side in the garage.

It looks like there are enough foot pegs in the cockpit that you could fit 6 in total: two rows standing. 2 bikes is good. I'm going to try that. And if one activates both drop ropes with two troopers per hook, and maybe more on the fold-out hatches, you could get a number on the vehicle or hanging off it. My challenge is how many to put on/in without making it look insanely crowded.

How do you stop yourself from playing with these? 😂 That AT-AT is amazing! And my jaw dropped when the Falcon’s door lowered and the lights went on! So rad!

The problem with the existing shuttle is the Emperor has to clamour over a large box to get to the ramp & then duck or limbo under the cockpit to exit. Most undignified.

That bike ramp has a button that pops the ramp out, it's one of the 'features'. That's why it's locked in place on the ramp. I remember buying this brand new from toys r us for one of my kids for Christmas one year... Walking into toys r us and seeing an entire row of them was amazing. She lives in the loft, but usually comes out now and again for a play.

After the Galaxy's Edge Falcon came out it really drew my attention to how much the AT-AT would benefit from an entirely new deco similar to the Falcon. I'm guessing that when they initially made these vehicles they used all their budget on the initial design, engineering and sculpting and it didn't really leave much for paint - because neither the original BMF or the ''BAT-AT'' have particularly good paintjobs - I find this too bright and clean overall. That said I can definitely see a new release happening and as with the new Falcon I expect it would have a vastly improved paintjob. That Falcon looks like a real premium, high end vehicle and I think the AT-AT screams out for the same treatment. Anyway great review Only One.

Good review but you did miss a few features. The speeder bike ejects by pressing the button on the right side of the bike. Also the trap door with working grapple hook is one of the best features in my opinion. Happy Holidays and keep up the great content.

Maaaaan I could watch you for hours Nick , so I had the falcon, snowspeeder and wing as a kid ( yes I’ve still got them) but never the AT-AT , the rich kid had one across the street but alas not me , how cool were those chin cannons !! Anyway in 98’ I went to NYC and saw the reissue in Toys R Us it was 89 Dollars and I had to have one as they were twice that at home only in Forbidden Planets , I was so worried taking it home I took this massive box on the plane as hand luggage ! … I thought I’m never gonna get through Customs so I went through the ‘ Declare’ line and then guy was amazed someone actually went through his way , he said hello can I help? Yes I think I’m over my allowance, what is it ? .. thank it’s an AT-AT .. what’s an AT-AT ? Have you never seen Star Wars Empire strikes back? … No !! … how much was it ? $89 .. oh you know you can bring $150 back with you now ? … no I didn’t I said and with that I went through even though I had had at least 20 carded figures in my suitcase ! 😂 have a great Christmas and look forward to more wicked videos and impressions , hope we meet one day and do joint impressions together… so be it Jedi !

Great review, i love this vehicle. It was my 2nd favourite vehicle right after the Legacy Falcon, but ever since i got the barge it is now my 3rd favourite. No the barge is not on the first spot, it's the electronics that i feel are missing and of course the price is much higher. I really like vehicles with electronics definitely when they are packed with sounds like this vehicle is. You can get more sounds by holding down some of the buttons on this vehicle, the Falcon, AT-TE and the Turbo Tank. The AT-TE is one of the worst vehicles in hindsight, the legs on it are rubbish.

That AT-AT is sweet. Didn't know it had so many sound effects. I actually own the Rogue One AT-AT. Really like the sound effects and it's ability to walk. Only downfall is that they didn't make it up to scale. Fell just a little to short. Anyways great video as always. 🍺💯🤘

I literally hate it every time I see that sail barge because I know I will never be able to afford one on the secondary market. I have the big AT-AT and big Millenium Falcon, but I don’t even get that flustered with jealousy seeing the new weathered Disney big Millenium Falcon, because it’s a small difference and maybe one day it I want it I can, but that sail barge is my moby dick

I’m visiting my mum for the holidays and I was just able to order and receive the new vintage collection Boba Fett SLAVE 1 (not boba’s ship or fire spray) and two of the new vintage collection Tatooine skiffs. I own the clone wars “rise of boba Fett” slave 1, which as you know is just the Jango Fett paint deco version of this mold, which was the first time it was used. And it’s absolutely brilliant especially now that I have the superior OT Boba Fett weathered painted one to go with it and it has a stand. The skiffs are something I never had and always wanted since before the newer TVC one was made. I remember a few years ago I found out that a version was made in the 80’s and then again in the 90’s and early 2000’s and I would peruse the internet on Amazon and eBay for overpriced secondary market listings of that when that was unaffordable. Not I got two for under $40 each. The thing is they will remain on my shelves (or storage) alone without a barge for years to come. Maybe I can even manage to buy an overpriced sarlaac pit on eBay from the one time they made that, and I’ll probably have that to accompany it before I have that glorious barge. I also bought one of the Tantive IV hallway sets. So now I’ll spend the rest of my Christmas break organizing my things and double checking all my old Star Wars figures and vehicles that have been in air conditioned storage for a year. And making sure they’re all good before packing them away again and returning to school. The holidays are always a fun time of year. I will be sure to display my new Slave 1 along with a boba Fett tvc figure and my book of boba Fett hallmark ornament in front of the tv on the 29th when the first episode drops!

@@OnlyOneKenobi Not sure why the animosity. I watch your videos pretty much daily and you are amongst my favorite KZreadrs. I am a serious collector (for example I own 15 out of the last 17). My slightly whimsical original comment was a comment on Hasbro pricing - you did mention future projects. Mentioning my old nick from Usenet (the original way people used to form communities on the internet - if you are unfamiliar with them, there are plenty of info sources on the subject available) and that it is similar you yours (we obviously share a common interest) was a sign of respect, not a flame or attack.

Added - the "good day, sir" (UK usage) responded to with "G'day mate" (Australian usage) was my attempt to bring some levity into the discussion. I do enjoy language and refuse to take myself altogether too seriously. In other words I'm a bit of a kidder, and don't always express myself literally (I'm autistic, but not that much 😉).
