    I ordered the Pop Toss Green Machine last month and just used it for the first time. Couldn't be more impressed with it! So consistent in its pitches and the timer is great. Hitting off a tee is fine, but it's nothing compared to seeing some live pitching. This thing is flat out fun! I used your promo code, btw!

    Hey Bathound are you gonna do a video on that Miken freak USA you slightly showed in the video ?

    I am planning on it. Hopefully in the next several weeks I can get back out into the garage at least to do some more hitting, provided the temperature cooperates :)

    Just found your channel and it's great! I ordered this bat before i watched your video and i was thankful to see a good review but im wondering if i ordered the wrong size. I got the 28oz with the thought i would get a little more distance, but now im second guessing. What is a good rulebof thumb on which weight to swing? On a different note, i saw that you are also a Pastor, which is awesome! I wont bother you with any theological inquiries at the moment though😂

  • @bathound

    Thanks for watching! Theological inquiries are always welcomed haha. Generally speaking I tend to get better performance with the lighter models of bats. Typically the added weight in a given model ends up going on the handle rather than the barrel. So for a Monsta Fallout, the 26 & 27 will both have the same barrel weight, and the extra oz for the 27 will go on the handle. BUT there are exceptions to the general rule I stated. The Fallout would be one of those. I tend to get better performance with the 27oz over the 26oz. Also, the Demarini Juggy I get better performance with the heavier weight. I think I could argue I saw it in the Miken Primo maxload as well. So while it is often true I prefer the lighter in a given model, there are exceptions. Keeps it interesting.

    My 27oz weighs 26.5 with the 1.8 lizard grip. Freak USA is considered a 4pc bat feels more midloaded according to Alan tanner.

    This bat (27 oz) died on me after about 100 hits. I sent it to Miken and they sent me a new one. Not counting on it for tourneys.

    oh sorry to hear! I feel like the older ones had good durability. Perhaps you just got a mishap? Or, I have seen Bat Flip BP get several bats from Miken/Worth the last couple years that have broke early.

    Can you please explain to me what the difference is between the green pop Toss and the black pop toss machine.

  • @bathound

    @bathound

    the Black Pop Toss is for baseball and fast pitch softball, and the Green one is for slow pitch softball.

    Thank you for the answer but what I’m really trying to figure out is this. The green one just Lobs the ball like I see in all of your videos only. No way to to make it more straight in. Always has to be that high of a lob. And also the black one. What’s the slowest to fastest speed on that. Bc I play asa softball but it’s mixed and kinda fast pitch so I think the black one might be better for me. Does the black pitch more of a line drive straight pitch in around 40s-60s
