i mean, for him to claim its on par with a s-class mercedes is quite optimistic, id more lean towards e class, and as for it beeing a 7 series bmw id lean more towards 5 series. good review reguardless. never really sat in a lexus 450h, so i wanted some insight before i drove 1000km to check one out

I get 32 mpg on average. The main purpose of the hybrid drive is to give this car performance of a V8 for the economy of a V6. If you want economy get a Ct200 hybrid. It's a very fast car!

It’s more e class tan s class. For a car dealer your knowledge of range of cars is rather limited

The brand new cost at the time will be £48,000 to 50k in the Uk the rivals are E class, not S class.

Lexus equivalent for S class is the LS series

curious if these are still worth picking up in 2019 given its hybrid will the batteries be the worst part? IE what checks should be looked at apart from the usual car things, what particular things from ahybrid would need looking at

Floor it and see if the power gauge goes all the way up to 250Kw. Drive it in hybrid pwr mode and see if you can keep a steady 40-50km/h with electricity only. If this happens the hybrid battery should be ok. If the check hybrid system message comes up it means the worst and the best battery cell in the batterypack have too big difference between their performance. If you want to fix your batterypack for cheap just replace the individual battery cells which are in worst condition. One cell costs about 35€ and the pack has 40 of them. And yes it's still worth buying if you don't need a lot of trunk space.

Andrzej Budzyński I said it was very good. Keep in mind it’s a 10 year old sound system so not as sharp as a newer one but still pretty good.

This is not a traditional hybrid...its a high performance hybrid so u dont take such a big hit at the pump. A hybrid is suppose to get u more than 22mpg but is it suppose to get u 339hp...hell nawl.

I think the guy in the video forgot that Lexus LS also exists. LS is the competitor ( with no doubt better) of Mercedes S , bmw 7 series .... Lexus GS is competitor to BMW 5 And Mercedes E class.

Laerino Ultra I reviewed the LS to but that was after the GS. Your right the GS is more of a 5 series rival, at the time of filming I overlooked the LS.

Dear Shane, If you want to make punters think you have good taste in cars, it applies all-round, not just to cars. That is to say that, if you have no taste in one direction, you probably don't have taste in another. So when punters like me see those shoes, bang goes your credibility in cars too.
