Review: 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos.
Traditionally, Nissan's SE-R nomenclature has been reserved for various hot-rodded Sentra models dating back to 1991. Starting this September, speed junkies will be able to purchase a version of the 2005 Nissan Altima that wears the SE-R badge, offering slight bumps in engine horsepower and torque and providing yet another reason to skip paying extra for the larger, heavier Maxima flagship sedan

the 05-06 Altima SE-R and 97-03 grand Prix GTP are probably some of the best looking mid sized sedans ever. and the performance that comes with them both (especially the GTP) is amazing and good fuel economy too i might add

Housewives mainly drive the 2.5s and sl altima's. The sports enthusiast car is the 3.5se and se-r. With honorable mention going to the 3.5sl... these cars are good handling and very quick. The torque steer makes it a hand ful tho but only if you accelerate from a dead stop at half- full throttle

I have an se-r so I'm biased, but with a 6 speed, WAI, NWP spacers, block off plate, and 3rd CAT delete, I got 35.5 mpg on a 356 mile all hwy road trip. I got 32-33mpg hwy before any mods. I've driven a 2012 si, I like it, but I don't feel the handling is there. I can rotate the SE-R through the middle of the corner with the throttle, SI pushes. Obviously a lot of cars out there are better if you care about speed/cornering only, but I don't think there are many better all-rounders.

This is just from motor trend magazine but, they were the only one's to test an auto SE-R. It did... 0-60 in 6.2, 0-100 in 16.5, 1/4 Mile in 14.7 @ 95 mph. The best #'s I could find with the 6 speed where... 0-60 in 5.9, 0-100 in 14.7, 1/4 Mile in 14.5 @ 99.2 mph. Hope this helps... I'm sure a great driver could get even better numbers than this.

Those numbers seem as accurate as I have been able to find. I owned a 2005 SE-R and loved it. I had the manual too. I had always seen 0-60mph in the 5.9-6.1 sec range. Not sure where they got mid 5 sec as stated in this video. The car had great torque. It had more torque than my 2003 Acura CL Type S 6 speed manual.
