Review 0f my 2004 Yamaha FJR1300 ABS

To say I like the bike would be an understatement. It is a sportbike with the comfort of a cruiser and the luggage of a touring bike.

I had a 2010 FJR and took it from Phoenix AZ to British Colombia via the Pacific Coast Highway. The bike handled like it was on rails. I loved your review very entertaining

Hello from a fellow FJR rider in Missouri! I have an '07 I purchased about a year ago and have clocked 6k+ in that time. I love the bike and love Missouri riding. Thanks for the review, great looking bike!

I have a question for you: how's the slow speed maneuvering? I've heard that it's a little heavier up top than the ST honda and am wondering about like 1 to 2 mph turning......

@@muskokamike127 although I haven't ridden a ST, I can tell you if feels a bit top heavy at slow speeds. Nothing crazy, but you can feel it. I wouldn't want to wrangler it around tight city traffic. Once you get rolling, the weight disappears and it's stable and very well easy to handle. This is one of the reasons I recommend crash bars (front and back). A little reassurance in case it does go down.

@@Racc00nGuy thanks for the info! I have a vstar 1100 custom and it's a pig in parking lots.....I think it's 100 lbs heavier than the FJR.... Correction: I just checked the specs, the FJ is actually a few lbs heavier than the Vstar......

@@muskokamike127 it may be heavier but it's weight is all down low. Plus the seat height of the FJR can be a problem for some. I'm 6'-3" so it's not a big deal for me but I've heard that much weight up high becomes a challenge for our shorter brothers and sisters.

Way to go, bro! First of all, you're way far and beyond most of reviewers in creativity! Second, take care and enjoy your future rides. Third, great content you've got there, it IS a pleasure to watch! Regarding myself, I just got an FJR 1300 '15 of my own just last Saturday. Had a VFR 800 '07 before. And I just love that new bike. It stays on the road like a train on the rails and it IS agile and easy to maneuver (is this word spelled correctly?). It accelerates like a sports bike even in touring mode (a little exaggeration over here). But anyways, I LOVE it, Yamaha did a really great job!

Thank you for the kind words. And congratulations on your purchase. Maybe one day I'll get a newer model. I Love the way the bike handles. Even with two up. But the times I'm alone, yeah. It's a sport bike. Thanks again. Don't know if the word is spelt right, but I read it right lol.
