Reverse Stamping and Reverse Die Cutting / Mirror Stamping Simple and Easy

This is a tutorial on reverse stamping and die cutting. It is really simple to do and gives you extra options with your stamps and dies. You only need a silicone sheet and I use the Stampin Up one as I can see through it. These are available in my online shop which is through my website www.cinderspapercraft.co.uk
I do use the Versafine Onyx Black as I use this for sentiments as it gives a lovely rich colour. You try what you have, momento tuxedo black does work but the best way to see what works for you and your stamps is to try!
Thank you for taking time to watch my tutorial and I hope you will subscribe if you would like to see more of my video's.

    Using a mouse pad or some other gush pad under the paper when I stamp gives a clearer image. It helps on the reverse too. Never thought of using the silicone mat for reverse stamping. Thanks for sharing

    A gem of an idea! Thank you so much. You are very smart. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have done the reverse stamping on acetate, but I like your method better. As far as reverse die cutting, I usually have to fussy cut. Now I know how to do it correctly. Hugs.

    Love the tip to use the silicone mat. I think that seems to work the best. The ink seems to stay wet a little longer on it giving you a better image. TFS

    Did you have a chance to try the silicone mat? I'm curious as to what density to go for. Ms Cinders' seemed quite porous; I was surprised not to see ink oozing through to her hands as she pressed.

    OH, HOW BLOOMING C-O-O-L Is this!!! T.Y.F.S.!!! Did I get the info correct??? Is that an embossing mat you used as a "stamp"? (Oh, and one one Great Tip deserves an "in kind": if you have access to a window, tape up the die to the reverse side of the paper using the window as a light box.). Again, MANY Thanks!!!

    This is a great idea for the die cutting. Just wondering if you have tried laying your stamped piece on a light box for positioning the die. It should show through well enough. Just bought my hubby a great light box for tracing his stained glass patterns. Now that I've seen this I may have to "borrow" it occasionally. Cheers! Also from Canada - Ontario, where winter has been horrible! LOL

    Great idea. ☺☺ You need a large flat lamp, to rest on design. You go to aliexpress site, And looking for Flat Plate Led. There are a flat lamps to read a pages of books. I think that are perfect for this tecnic. You try ☺

    What a CLEVER, CLEVER idea!!! I haven't recently seen what you are referring to, but I'm betting they have to be thinner and more easily handled than a "Light Box".

  • @DoloresJRush
    @DoloresJRush5 жыл бұрын

    A light box would have helped you as it is a lighted flat surface and your hands would have been free to position the die over the image easier. Good idea, nevertheless!

    Hi Cindy, Maybe your first one isn't stamping well because you are using a photopolymer stamp without putting a sponge or rubber mat underneath it....same goes for the actetate one...I could be wrong...but I do love your rubber mat idea...will have to give it a go...if you use verasfine ink, can you still use alchol markers to color it with such as Copics...Ann in Canada

    EsteeDarla that is a silicone mat. You can get them from Stampin Up but you should be able to get them elsewhere as well. I don't know if any others are kind of see through but the Stampin Up one was the one I used 😊 xxxx Cindy xxxx
