A simple mod I did on my '99 civic ex was change out the rear turn signals with 1157 switchback led's and wired the drl/parking light function to my reverse lights. Since both the turn signal and reverse lights have white lenses, I thought it would look cool and help throw a little more light out to the sides, which they do. I'm sure the mod would be fairly easy to do on a newer civic as well. Just get a couple 1157 pigtails and cut new notches into the turn signal hole so that it'll accept the different socket and you should be good. You should probably install an led blinker relay as well, to avoid hyper flash

It was very hard to determine differences in your outdoor and car video. Would be helpful if you provided a more detailed explanation of what bulb were best to worst in your opinion. Thanks for pointed out all the differences

you need to turn off auto exposure and/or turn off that light in the background

one question , will it matter which way you pug in those original tall parking / stop bulbs like a 3057. I often wondered why they have 4 wire contacts on them but they are staggered .

It might depending on the led manufacture. Some have it where it is polarity sensitive so you have to connect them the right way. While others make it so that it will work either way. As for the 4 connection base pins... its the same.. some manufacture make it with 2 and some for 4. It is because the 4 can be used for both 3057 and 3157. Instead of making one for each.. they just use 3157 since it will be compatible with a 3057 socket. It only will utilize the 2 pin instead of all 4 inside the socket.

No it will not work.

elijahvdp oh yea.. the 2016 comes standard with DRL LED lights.. I forgot. Well the light upgrade videos are coming to an end soon so expect to spend money on interior/exterior trim mods then!!

From Canada: These are automotive lamps, so how would they perform in -30C temperatures in our Winter?

easy to tell which ones were bright, but a sheet of plywood down the center between the lights would have helped see how each side lit up w/o any bleed over. otherwise, 2 stood out. thanks.

My recommendation would be either the Philips or the JDM ASTAR. I don't have the ASTAR one but I'm going to pick up a pair soon. I'm currently using exled, they are decent but its not readily available so the other 2 gets my vote.
