Love the flower symbolism. Stanford brings white roses at first, which symbolize innocence and purity. Then we see these roses die (the death of Will's innocence as Ford corrupts him, perhaps). Then we see Ford bring red roses, which symbolize passionate love, but the color red on it's own has connotations with blood, fire, wrath, passion, and love. Then we see white snapdragons, (I think that's what those flowers are...) And those symbolize deceit. And then we come back to the start, white roses. The flowers convey the story of these two, in a way. Will is innocent and sweet when he meets Ford, but as they begin to see each other more and more, Ford slowly starts to kill Will's self esteem and sense of independence. Will realizes this and tries to leave, but Ford freaks out, attacks Will, and takes out one of his eyes. Ford deceives Will into believing it was his own fault, if he hadn't tried to leave, he wouldn't have attacked him. Will falls into a deranged sort of love with Ford, Stockholm syndrome, if you will. He eventually becomes very dependent on Ford, and believes he is only trying to protect him. Will goes back to white as he becomes naively blind to the truth...

I love ya'lls work, it's beautifully shot, well thought out, the costumes are all wonderful, and I personally think your Bill/Will is absolutely perfect, they always manage to convey so much personality and emotion, which is beautifully complimented by Ford and the others. i can just imagine in one of the first scene , stanford trying to clean and treat will eye but he keeps pushing him away , because it just hurts so damn much , and hes crying "please stanford , it hurts. god it hurts"

This is probably my favorite one of them so far, so I would like to put the decoded message here. This code uses Vigenère Cipher. The key word was used in the code at the end of the trailer. That key word actually made me cry for some reason. The code for the trailer in general made me cry actually. Key word: BLUEBIRD Decoded message: KINDNESS, BOOKS, PRESENTS AND FLOWERS STANFORD RETURNS TO HIM FOR HOURS TO READ, TO SMILE, TO LAUGH AND TALK SOMEONE WATCHES OVER THEM LIKE A HAWK. Now I'm assuming who is watching them is Fiddleford. I know I am late on this but who cares? I fell in love with this story and every page it turns to. The flower symbolism is probably my favorite. A dark tale that holds such beauty, sorrow, and love holds a special place within my heart and inspires my mind to tell a similar story through my art.

I think stanford feels guilty, in the song it’s says “I can’t help but love you, even though I try not to” which is saying that he didn’t mind hurting will in the first place but fell in love with him and felt guilty of what he had done. Which is why he stopped fiddleford soon after he was finished hurting will

The way Will curls into Ford at the beginning!! And the flowers!!

I find it interesting because in relationships, particularly abusive ones, when one partner has wronged another, often the guilt or fear of abandonment leads them to shower their partner in gifts in order to 'woe' their wronged partner into staying in the relationship. An example that would match perfectly is this here with Ford bringing Will flowers yet seemingly ignoring him the rest of the time.

No matter how many times I rewatch this series when I find a new video, I always linger on this video longer then the others, and I don't know whether it's because everytime I hear this song I cry or if it's just the visuals and how beautiful they are that keeps me here just a touch longer, but either way this is my favorite video. (Edit: I guess I left another comment two years ago saying this was my favorite video. See I just keep coming back to this video. )

The portrayal of them is amazing! The way Stanford seems so kind and gental to Will is amazing! And the switch in flowers! I noticed this the first time. The white roses: innocence The red roses: passion the white snapdragons: deceitful intent or ignorant bliss Then we cut back to white roses. The way you have the acting made me think that Will or the cosplayer as Will was in serious pain!!! This story is amazing! The ciphers confused me though.

I don’t know if all these color codes and symbols are intentional, but the the use of white roses is cool because they are a symbol of purity, sympathy, and true love. Also on wills blanket there are these blue rose looking flowers, and those can symbolize immortality.
