wherever i've been, and especially in pubs when they were still common in the 70's & 80's, anyone who could jump on the piano and knock out some tunes had the instant respect and admiration of everyone, especially if you knew the words and could sing along. I even remember in the 90's when a mate brought his nerdy brother along for the first time who was studying classics at oxford uni, we found out he could play so persuaded him to have a go on the old upright that had hardly been touched for years, he was brilliant and got all the drinks he wanted, everyone was smiling, & just like terry and his ilk it will never go out ouf style, pity there aint more of it.

Haven't spent much time at Waterloo station since I used to go to college in Southwark in 1971, it's changed a bit..!

It's Waterloo railway station, not an airport. Elton John's piano is at St. Pancras, also a station.
