Great Video Raul. You wouldn't believe it. I went into the office in the city for the first time in over a year last week and saw this kit and debated wether to buy it or not. Thank God I am going back to the office Tuesday and will grab it. We had a version of these here in Australia, not called the Dart, but just a Valiant Coupe. Not as fancy as this though. Good evening sir from mid Tn. I just found your channel and I enjoyed the review on Mr. Norms Dart. I currently have over 50 unbuilt Mopar models just waiting to be built. I used to build in my younger days then life caused them to be put on the back burner. I kept buying, still do, so when I get the time I will resume. I'm over 60 so in a few years I will slow down enough to enjoy one of my passions. I have subscribed and will start reviewing past videos. Thank you for providing a channel that seems to offer honest reviews. Looking forward to a little binge watching.

Yeah Mr. Norm! I found an old interview with him, where he talked about trying to get Dodge to factory build these. I like gold as a paint, it always sprays on nice unlike white or yellow which always seem to be prone to orange peel and runs. Your build sure looks sharp and your right Revell did a great job with this kit.

You mentioned that you had a little problem getting the decal on the air cleaner on. My tip is to put cuts on the decal. I made a mistake when I built my Dart and it would later be fixed when I built a Charger Daytona. (Both have the 440) when placing the decal on the daytona, I cut just under the silver star looking thingies.(I don't know what they are called) and I first laid the Magnum part of the decal down first. And with decal setting solution and a cotton swab I formed the Magnum into place. Then I put the 440 and star thing on top. The overlay should be unnoticeable when complete.

I just put a piece of plastic in the hole and then put on a decal. If you give me your email, I’ll email you a couple pictures.

Gorgeous Dart love the gold (l have it too) just for this kit, did vinyl test spray yesterday, will be my first top this way. I got this when I saw it too 10+ yrs ago, one thing that is missing from the body is the lower horizontal bar on the wing window, someone pointed that out a while back so I wrote it down on the instructions so I don't forget to add it during body prep, I think you could still add a pc with stock and BMF. Always look forward to Saturday's newest videos. Thanks Raoul.

Thanks 👍. This kit is great right out of the box but The Hemi Dart is buildable but some compromises were made to do that kit.

The only thing missing is the Mr. Norms crazy fenderwell headers

I understand he installed those in only a few cars. Steering radius was greatly reduced!

I have that same kit that I’ll be using the front suspension parts from a Revell ‘68/‘69 Charger, to give it posable front wheels. I’ll be using some ‘69 Dart parts on it, & cutting off the roof to turn it into a convertible. I’ll be removing all the emblems and side marker lights as well. I’ll also be swapping the 360 V8 from a Lil Red Express Truck.

Don’t plan on using a boot. I’m going to fill in the space with a wood grain decal or a thin piece of wood.

I have seen sets of HP 383/440 exhaust manifolds and the driver side manifold will be the one that gets squeezed down for steering column clearance on some Mopars depending on the years. The big block A body is really deformed on the outlet.

Revell only did two. The Dart and the Charger. I have had both and built the 68 Charger as a stock RT kit bashing the missing stock parts with the 69 kit. Only later having Revell issue a stock 68 RT. The Dick Landy Dart became a donor kit for a resin project I have yet to finish but have another one I could showcase but thought about doing a video on all the Revell Darts.

Really nice build, I like your videos especially the mopars, I built the dick landy dart it's a fun kit.

Thanks! I bought that Dick Landy kit as well. I think I have all the versions of the Revell Dart. The Dick Landy kit turned into a parts kit for a resin body.

I have five of them sitting beside me on the Shelf a 69 and 4 68s I don't think the 69 is a norms the 68 are not but all of them beautiful kits

Yes the Revell 69 Dart GTS is the first kit and has a 383. No 440 decals even though it was available from Mopar. In 68 the only way to get a 440 was in MR. Norm's GSS. He didn't offer to many dealer specials. He did the Dart in 68 and then in 71 he offered another GSS. This time a Demon with a 340 6 Pack.
