Thanks Vic. Just sharing the knowledge :)
Nice update and great tutorial. I noticed the clear yellow is when the wood really came to life.

Yep for my interior wood it's clear orange, but here it's clear yellow that's the magick potion. Thanks Skip!

This came out decent. I discovered a way better way though that comes out flawless. I just did one for the Foose FD100 Ford and it looks like real wood. Had to add my own grain effects because the plastic was smooth. Kit came with a decal for the bed. Those never hold up over time. After I taped off the bed rails, bottom and top, I scuffed it with 100 grit sand paper in random patterns to make the wood grain. Laid down a layer of Valleyo "Wood" with airbrush, then let the dry good. Bought a pack of brown sharpies different shades, and made different patters on each plank. End product looks like real wood.

Nice. Sounds like a good tip. Have a great one!
This is looking really great now. Is that wooden flat bed supposed to be so... shiny though? I don't know whether it's the camera/lighting or what, but to me it looks like it's got quite a shine to it. The red looks good too - but yeah, I don't think your camera is picking it up very well. Looking forward to seeing how this comes out. Great video thanks for sharing.

Thanks. While a show truck would have some shine to the bed, the shine on the wood in this video is from the light (and my phone camera). I actually hit it with flat clear to remove the glossy shine from the clear yellow at 16:47 in the video. But between the lighting and the fact that I record with my phone camera, video quality isn't always the best. It's fairly flat here.
Love the red buddy also technique for woodeck is a handy tip to know ill save this video for the future to do this learn this on something i need to do wood look on very good justin hey ur card should be there anytime this week coming buddy sent it day after you emailed me so its more than likely over in usa in postal service company ok bro,, 👍Keith

Did you paint the chrome sections on the body on the 41?
@JHartModelworks

No I used bare metal foil on the chrome trim. Doing the BMF before the 2k clear helps protect it from flaking off over time, and gives it a bit more shine.

@@JHartModelworks I will have to try that method but do have any problems with bare metal afoul coming off when sanding and polishing?
