Thank you Pastor Matt, during the past 3 months I have isolated myself and grown extremely bitter towards my church. I started to criticize everything my fiancé’s church did, even if It was in my head. How am I to know if this isn't one of the churches seven churches to worry about?

Revelation is such an awesome Book. I finally recently realized that the Church Age aka Gospel Era aka 1,000 Year Reign aka Millennial Reign were all the same thing. I finally saw Armageddon happening in 70AD in Revelation 19. I now see satan locked up right now, spiritually, meaning his heart is chained, just like us before knowing Christ, before we heard the Gospel Message our hearts were also locked up in the chains of sin and death. The Gospel makes us free!!! Hallelujah!!! I finally realized that he First Resurrection already happened, as seen in Matthew 27:52-54. The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the [aa]saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. 54 Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, “Truly this was [ab]the Son of God!”

satan can no longer deceive the hearts of the nations of God's people. Note that today's popular Revelation view has only been around since 1830. It was started by the heretic Darby. Then Schofield made it popular with his famous study Bible in 1900. Then of course Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye with all the books and movies.

@Bryan Coray It still blows my mind and heart that 90 percent of today's church believes that satan, a spiritual being, will be locked up in a physical prison, like Alcatraz etc. for a literal 1,000 years. Today's church doesn't realize that you cannot lock up the spiritual part of anyone physically. Like you and I Bryan, our spiritual hearts cannot be put into a physical prison. Before we were saved we were in spiritual prison, the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ makes us free!!! satan is locked up right now and before you heard the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ you were locked up with him in the chains of sin and death. Bryan, I hope and pray you come out of the 90 percent of people who teach that Jesus will be an earthly king for 1,000 years. He said over and over and over that He was not an earthly king but that He was a Heavenly King. Bryan, which kingdom do you serve? Which kingdom do you store your treasure in? The Heavenly Kingdom or this earthly kingdom? Stop teaching others that Jesus Christ is going to be an earthly king for 1,000 years. This heresy called dispensationalism only started in 1830. If you want to really know what Revelation is saying watch some short, no ads, no commercials, videos on my chnnel. Learn what the church taught the first 1800 years.

Check out this Scripture, this is the Great Commission: 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

@@ryanpmcp i read up a little about it so then it was about him wanting sex with other women...........again another sad story about how false christian teaching forces men into monogamous marriages when the bible allows multiple wives (polygyny)...it is lawful but it is sanctioned which means its allowed but with rules......only bishops were told to only have one wife....

@@ryanpmcp the word for woman in the bible is not the same for virgin....a woman is one who is married....when jesus said if you lust for a woman ie married woman its the same as adultery.....so much gets lost in the english translations.....also if you dump and replace your wife its adultery....but having multiple loving non jealous child bearing wives is not unlawful...its helpful bc not all women want twenty children nor want sex as often as men......men are daily women are monthly cycles......

@@patrickc3419 A woke church is better than a sleeping church. Are we not called to be social justice warriors? (I would also argue that you have misinterpreted Matt Chandler as being a “cop-hater”). Matt Chandler has also said in many sermons that he does not believe the people should feel guilty for being white, but that white people should recognize their privileges that they still have in 2021. There is no shame in the color of your skin, no matter the color. God is not politically right or left and to try and align Him with one or the other is to put God in a box. Have a blessed Sunday!

@@justinjonker8418 Hi Justin, I’m Patrick I am not criticizing this specific sermon. I direct my criticism at Chandler as a whole, and why he’s not a church leader to follow. He is a part of Gospel Coalition, which alone should cause believers to be discerning. I am not saying that sincere Christ followers cannot in love agree to disagree on nonessentials, but GC is very much involved in and supportive of the Social Justice movement. Chandler specifically has gone so far as to, on multiple occasions, defend Black Lives Matter, which is not possible for a genuine Christian do do, any more than one could think they could support Holocaust deniers or the KKK.

@@patrickc3419 Do you have a specific examples you are referring to that deals with Social Justice? I also think it all comes down to how you define these terms too. Like what do you mean by "Social Justice movement" and how do you define "Black Live Matters" and was Chandler talking about the idea behind the movement or the actual organization? I say all this to say, I think you are publicly bringing up some big allegations against Chandler. I love Chandler! From the many messages I've heard, I haven't heard anything that given a 'red flag'. And if you really want to know the guy from an outside perspective without having 1 on 1 time with him, I encourage you to listen to his sermons. Hear what he is saying. See his heart from the pulpit. I don't see how you come to those conclusions.

Leave it to Matt to go out of his way in a sermon to blankly bash gay people, even those in loving monogamous relationships. His personal disgust and sense of righteousness for feeling that way has been obvious over years based on how unequivocal and non-pastoral he can be in his comments about gays and his lamentations about the reduced marginalization gay people are experiencing nowadays.
