    Whether the book of revelation is past events or still future events (I personally believe it’s both) all scripture is relevant and is talking to the readers who are Spirit-filled and have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. The message is timeless!

    We had a non church going friend ageee to come to a meeting with us a nice guy open and a wonderful dad to his son after the meeting we chatted and he said " you know i volunteer every 2 weeks to help out at our local homeless food bank and its such an amazing experience to see the faces of gratitude and appreciation ...the last time i went to church there were a group going for pizza and i went along but they just gossiped and ate food then went home i gave out my number to offer if anyone would like to come along to the food bank and help out anytime ...no one called ...one texted and said they are in the middle of a end times seminar and dont have time . It seems modern christians have there priorities backward so i wont bother with organised religion its not in my wheelhouse" You know he has a point 👉

    Just as the world did not mean the whole world but the Roman world, so too does the "Last days" often refer to the end of the Old Covenant era and Jesus returning to judge unfaithful Israel.

    Let’s also take note of the fact John was roughly the same age as Jesus. If he wrote it in 96 ad. He’d have been over 100 years old. In 60 something ad he’d be roughly 90-95. I believe that’s extremely important to think about.

    I agree with its not Essential to know for certainty on all of Revelation . But the question comes to mind. The mark of the beast dont want to get that. If you write it off as past but its in the future . Then we could end up getting it. It is a very big deal

    @@1754Me agree. Would you also say that MOTB is also a spiritual mark for those in Christ and those who are not and are of their father the devil. Ezekiel 9 and Deuteronomy 11 come to mind. Interested to hear your thoughts 😊

  • @1754Me

    @1754Me

    @@markdonnaabbott3977 Certainly. The MOTB is found in Rev 13 and was upon those who were obedient to his commands (i.e. Caesar Nero). Contrasted to those who were with the Lamb (i.e. Believers/the Church/the Body of the Messiah) had "his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads" (i.e. Mark Of God) in Rev 14:1. Excellent examples you cited above! God brought judgment on Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586BC and John uses that same language from Ezekiel 9 in Rev 7 as the wind/storm is held back until He identifies His faithful remnant/servants for their deliverance--144k sealed (those Jewish-Christians who followed the Lamb, and fled Jerusalem to Pella before its fall). So now contrast those who are simply following the world's passions/governments vs those who obedient the eternal King's commands and are under His authority. It should be evident (just like the MOTB or the MOG) on where one's loyalty is, and where their authority (or Authority) comes from. Whose administration is a person following?

    Steve is a good speaker and has a lot of self esteem and condidence. Well read. His interpretation of literal interpretation sounds like cognative disonance. He uses literal like a hamer in a glass shop. Anything that is not literal he just smashes it and says, see it is not literal. He well knows that is not how it works because he taught dispensational previously. What is the motivation?

  • @LionsMayRoar

    @LionsMayRoar

    Ай бұрын

    By your remarks, you sound like a disgruntled futurist/dispensationalist. His motive is pure. It's to understand scripture as best you can, but also understand that things aren't as definitive as some in the church make them sound. We all could do well to approach the study and understanding of scripture with more humility, like Steve, and less argumentative and defensive. I disagree with your interpretation of his interpretation of literalism in the bible lol. I too came from dispensationalism and his arguments against the literal approach ring true to my experience within that dogmatic structure.

    That is because you are not paying attention, Steve Gregg's teaching doesn't confirm you bias. Your hermeneutic is similar to Jehovah Witnesses literalist hermeneutic. I second motion LionsMayRoar take as well: "I too came from dispensationalism and his arguments against the literal approach ring true to my experience within that dogmatic structure."

    Every time I listen to this Greg guy I wonder why he sounds exactly like Chuck Missler, but yet he never gives Chuck credit for his words. For me having listened to Chuck for probably 30 years. It seems like he has memorized almost all of Chuck teaching and is repeating them without giving him credit. The point of writing a book and saying, I did not take a stance personally on my opinion of views. I just watched a video thing verbatim. It’s intellectual property, give Chuck a shout out!

  • @LionsMayRoar

    @LionsMayRoar

    You could argue this about all theologians. No one alive today came up with the system they believe in, so even if your claim that he is ripping off Chuck Missler is true, then Chuck Missler has ripped off the theologians before him. But that's not actually how it works. Steve has read countless books on countless topics. He, as we all are, is an amalgamation of other opinions and studies. It's why we read. It's how we learn. No one is unique in this respect. Besides all that, Steve Gregg HAS mentioned Chuck Missler and Chuck Smith as he came from Calvary Chapel. Do you expect him to mention Chuck every time he speaks?

    Don't we all learn from each other, and take in what agrees with the Spirit and discard that which does not? Steve Gregg does not have a large following that should tell you something, truth nor reality ever wins popular following. By the way, thank you for turning me on to Chuck Missler teachings....

    hi kelly, i do not know what is going on with place and gladiator dawgs here, one guy has a big black poodle, ive heard notorious stories about big poodles, one of the maintenance guys told me he thought he was going to git bit with the big german shepherd on one of the room checks etc. and the guy with the pit bull expliend above etc. and the idea that emotionally unstable people, bipolar with emotional roller coasters need emotional support gladiator dawgs, in apartment complexes with narrow hallways, blind side corners etc. all it takes is one spooked dawg, or owner to set off a pack attack, why not a cat or a small dog for emotional support animal? why gladiator dawgs for emotional support? a guy who works midtown at sports told me when he was a kid, he went into a neighbors yard to retrieve a baseball, the pitbull attack him and latched his jaw and teeth onto the boy's leg, pitbull have the strongest jaw and bite hold, pitbulls like crocodiles bite or jaws cannot be forced open, pitbulls don't let go for anything! the owner was trying everything to get his pitbull to let go, again pitbulls dont let go for anything, out of desperation, the owner put the pitbull in a choke hold to kill his own dawg, again, pitbulls dont let go for anything, the owner had no choice but to chokehold his own pitbull to death, in order to get or pry the pitbull jaws or bite off the boy's leg, this was his story to me at sports in midtown , ive heard a bunch of horrible stories with this gladiator dawg breed in particular, the latest ive heard, some guy lost his wife and 2 kids, cuz the 2 family pitbull gladiator dawgs unpredictably attack his children! unexpectedly, without warning, and his wife was trying to protect her children, the pitbulls massacred to death the wife and 2 kids, again, why gladiator dawgs for emotional support? why not a cat and a small dog? ive seen youtube videos of a cat and small dog entertaining their owners in a apartment, i guess politicians are trying to mainstream bipolars, or multi personalities, or as the catholic church would say multiple demons, or the pronouns they, them, theirs, with the rollercoaster of emotions, i guess politicians are trying to mainstream this into the main population, cuz mental hospitals would be too expensive or notoriously cause more harm with more exotic drugs and side effects etc. as i have stated before why gladiator daws for emotional support animals? why not a cat and a small dog? a gladiator dawg might be more suited for a house with a yard, not an apartment complex with narrow halls and a bunch of blind side corners? all it takes is one spooked dawg or owner to set off a pack attack, ask the guy with the dead wife and 2 dead children, about the 2 family pitbull gladiator dawgs thank u for hearing these i guess preemptive concerns,
