Oh my, I am learning so much, that I have tears in my eyes. I'm only on number seven, and the rest of you are on 16, but I'm going to follow these faithfully upward. Thank you Pastor Mark Finley. And I'm a Seventh Day Adventist, brought into the church in 1977 by "It Is Written" and a Revelation Seminar held by Pastor George Vandeman and Nellie, but never received this type of teaching with such detail. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Praise God.

Hi pastor Finley, I truly enjoy your teachings, I heard a sermon by another pastor batchelor from amazing facts and he explains the 144,000 somewhat different from you, I’m new to Adventist teachings, I was a Jehovah witness so I’m learning about all of this again Amen 🙏 the other pastor explained that the meanings of the names of the tribes is what it means. Juda-I will prays the lord. Ruben-he has looked at me. Gad-given good fortune. Asher-happy am I. Naphtali- my wrestling. Manasseh- making me forget. Simeon-God hears me. Levi- attached to me. Issachar-purchased me. Zebulon-dwelling. Joseph-God will add to me. Benjamin-son of his right hand. Put together it reads “I will prays the Lord for he has looked on me and granted good fortune happy I am because my wrestling God is making me forget. God hears me and is attached to me. He has purchased me a dwelling. God will add to me the Son of his right hand”. Can you please explain to me to have this message clear. Thanks pastor 🙏

Hello Linda, yes, I am an adventist too and l was a bit confused when l heard Doug batchelor's explanation about the names, but after read over and over again I have come to understand it more with the help of the Holy Spirit. Example. In Matthew 24:3 the disciples came to show Jesus the magnificent building of the temple of Jerusalem. In answering them, Jesus said the building will soon be thrown down. The disciples understood Him that, that will only happen at the end of the world. Jesus then alaborated how the temple will be destroyed by the Roman empire in AD 70 and continued to give them expository of our present moment what all that is happening were started by Jesus. But they asked only a question, which produced two answers. The same way is the Révélation 7. The names gives us hope of humanity that God will finally save His people and the second meaning is what elder mark explained, so there are so many verses in the Bible which has dual meaning to its fulfillment. Daniel 12:4. God will teach His people all hidden truth through the Spirit of God. Psalms 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. The Spirit will teach us all things. John 14 :26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

This is the message of the book of Revelation : the experience of the people of God, their tribulations, but at the end they receive their reward as they overcame by the power of the Lamb of God. HJesus will mention 7 times "those who will overcome. I did like this from Pastor Bachelor, but do not agree with him regarding 144000 being literal. The interpretation of Pastor Finley rings true to me, it is according to the Word of God. 144000 being literal would mean that God lied to us when He invited all to come to Him. If God were to take only 144000 people, the lost ones could accuse God of their being lost. If they are from each tribe, this would show discrimination and people being saved based on the tribes they belong to, this cannot be true ! Our God never changes, He is forever a God of love. Stay blessed.

That's a great explanation, very interesting . I've never thought of it like that before but it makes so much sense. I've been an Adventist for years but was always too scared to really study Revelations and this area confused me too so I avoided it. But I realized it's too late in the game NOT to study this very important book. But, these studies are explained so well and in a way that it is easier for me to concentrate/remember that my knowledge/faith is growing so much. Thank you for your explanation, it has been a blessing. God bless 😊

thanks pastor Mark it's clear you are right at the point I always point revelation 7 to the Jehovah's witnesses who teaches that the only one who are saved are the 144000. so I tell them about the number which no one could number who these people aren't you there?

I am going to show exactly where 1 Thess 4:15-18 is in the Book of Revelation. First it is necessary to study Rev 4:3. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. Before we examine this verse I want to look at EZ 1:27-28 - 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. No one has ever doubted that God the Father is described in these verses. When John is called up to the throne room in Revelation Chapter 4, the voice that calls him is that of Jesus. Everyone agrees on that also. Doesn’t it strike you as odd that Jesus does not seem to be present in Chapter 4? Let’s look to the Bible to clear up this question Hebrews 1:1-4 says: In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. Does this help you to answer the question of where Jesus is in the throne room in chapter 4 of Revelation? It is interesting that the rainbow encircles the throne. Let’s look at John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” In Ezekiel the rainbow was not said to resemble an emerald. That vision occurred before God’s Son became man. The emerald is used as a descriptive phrase because Jesus is from the tribe of Judah, in fact Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Judah was the fourth son born to Jacob. In the KJV the emerald is the fourth stone in the breastpiece of the High Priest. That is not so in the NIV or the NASB. However, I’ve never asked a Rabbi or a member of a Jewish Historical Society who does not say that the emerald is the stone of Judah. Rev 4:3 is a magnificent description of the relationship between the Father and the Son. Now, we have laid the groundwork for studying Chapter 10 of Revelation. Chapter 10 is the beginning of the fulfillment of the three main rapture passages which are: 30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. matt 24:30-31 50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 1 Cor 15:50-54 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 Let’s look at Rev 10:1-4: 10 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. 2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke. 4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.” Jesus is the rainbow, also the rainbow is the sign of the Son of Man mentioned in Matt 24:30. The angel - mighty angel - the archangel is Michael, the only archangel mentioned in the Bible. Michael is robed in a cloud, Jesus is above him. Jesus issues a loud command with the voice of the archangel. The roar of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The appearance of the archangel is glorious, he is in the presence of the Son of God. Remember the face of Moses was radiant when he came down from the mountain after speaking to God. The seventh trumpet blows shortly thereafter and 1Cor 15-54 is fulfilled. We are actually raptured in our immortal bodies in Rev 14:14-16. This is when God the Father has Jesus send his angels to bring us up to him. Also, let’s look at Rev 10:7 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.” Col 2:2 says: 2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, The mystery of God is Jesus. Hence, the mystery of God will be accomplished = Jesus will return.

"those who are alive and remain". We have no idea how many people there were on earth before the flood, but 8 was the literal number of survivors. So, it's possible for there to be only 144.000 who "have the patience of the saints and the faith of Jesus" at the end times. Also, given that the horrors of the 20th century exist as a type of what is to come during the time of trouble, its more than possible for billions to die during the seven last plagues. All of those who are sealed by God no harm will come to them during that time. is it sad to think that only 144.000 could meet the criteria laid out in the Bible? yes, it is, but at the same time, God will lay to rest those who are not able to stand through those trials due to a host of factors. Could I be wrong? Absolutely I could, but between now and the end times, I will continue to study my Bible and be prepared "for when the day of evil comes, I will be able to stand my ground."
