You lost me on the part where Jesus is in the throne of God as a proof for the deity of Christ. In other texts, the saints are in the throne of Christ - does that mean we are deity as well?? Likewise, Jesus is specifically and formally seen as entirely distinct from Yahweh - Yahweh on His throne Rev 4 - the Lamb as a completely distinct entity coming forth to the throne. Later we see the Lamb is between the throne and the 24 thrones. Again in Rev 1:4,5 the Lamb is distinct from Yahweh. Having the same throne is entirely unrelated to the ontological picture that Bob is advocating here. I am a little surprised and disappointed that he would make this error in light of being a professor of hermeneutics.
