All the time I spent away from my mother I will never get back, but I will forever feel the guilt of it all because I knew she was hurting and didn’t do anything about it. But will always try to make up for her, till the day I die. Sometimes we don’t even think about the smallest things that end up making a huge difference in our lives, so don’t waste your time, your indifference can cost a lot to someone. I am really happy for Jeffree, hope he and his mom can find the happiness they deserve as a family.

Jeffree you’ve exposed yourself more these past few months than you ever have in your entire career. I’ve loved you since MySpace but knowing you deeper, I love you more. You are strong. You made it this far for a reason. I understand why your first thought would be to not tell the truth about how long it had been since you self harmed. It’s like you said sometimes it’s just too much to say at once. The fact that you decided to make this video to come clean just proves even more how much you’ve grown from this experience. Stay healthy and positive boo, you’re the best!

You are one in a million and as someone who self harmed for 15 years and finally heal myself enough to leave that pain and hurt in the past, I am officially self harm free and have been for 12 years! I was a burner, instead if cutting. I would heat up metal and brand my skin from age 13-19. Then I stopped. Then my mom died when I was 26 and my world fell apart. My dad lost his mind and began drinking again....I started burning again. For a year I did it. I hated myself and thought about killing myself every day. Somehow I came out of it. I'm 37 now. I'm a mom now. I also have tattooed over my scars. Thank you for your transparency. I appreciate your humanity.

it's really admirable your mom didn't try to weedle her way back into your life when she knew how successful you were years ago. I'm so glad she waited for you to come to her, on your own terms and when you were ready. It really shows that she's not a user. You're really generous to have helped her out of that position and buried the hatchet. I really hope someday when you are both ready, that we'll get to meet her on your channel. I feel so much more connected and involved with you since Shane's series. I used to just watch your videos sometimes, but now I do religiously and will continue to do so. Oh wow. I didn't think anyone would read my novel. I'm glad others agree. And just a random side note, the only person I ever really "call out" is onision. But he truly deserves it. He's bullied almost every youtuber on the planet. Sometimes I feel bad about it but he really needs a taste of his own medicine for all the hurtful and untruthful things he says. Thank you for being so transparent and raw it is so refreshing to see that especially with all of the social media "influencers". Thank you for being brave and courageous to be so open.

It takes a lot to say things like this out loud Jeffree, so I hope revealing this helps you. I was a very suicidal teenage & only tried to self harm twice. Someone told me scissors wouldn't leave scars (which honestly nobody should ever have suggested that to me) & it wasn't true but I tried it. Thankfully it wasn't for me, but I can't imagine doing it all the time. I haven't spoken to my family in 4 years and honestly don't ever want to speak to those people again. It's really surprising to hear that someone can go 10 years without talking to your parents & then reconnect. I can't imagine. Thank you for sharing all of this with your audience. I didn’t really watch him not becuz of the controversies just becuz I was just not really watching KZread that much, but now since I watch KZread like 24/7 Jeffree has been one of the youtubers I really like watching. I find it so interesting and intriguing when Jeffree talks about his past because he shows that there is hope and it will get better❤️

It makes me happy but also saddens me when I read these. I have always loved him. Through all of the controversies, and everything. I’m so happy that people are starting to realize he’s a great person, but saddens me that people ever “disliked” him to begin with.

This is the most entertaining and HUMAN makeup channel. No robotic business.

Hi Jeffree, I’m probably not your typical viewer. I am a mother of a now adult son. I found out when he was an early teen he was cutting. My heart was beyond broken that he was feeling the kind of pain that led to this, and as a mother, I couldn’t take that pain away. Fortunately, he is past that, but it still kills me that I couldn’t “fix” whatever he was going through. Thank you so much for giving this a voice! Also, thank you for being you, and for showing young people that it’s okay to be who you are, and giving them the freedom to express themselves! So happy that you and your Mother are in a much better place. I pray for Continued healing for your relationship!

Watching this a year late but wanted to say hi! I’ve followed you since MySpace , have all of your music, and am so happy you are so much happier in life! I was in a really dark space in 2003 when I found you (I was 9) my brother had unexpectedly died and he was actually the reason I was introduced to you so after he passed I kept watching you grow. I’m also a Scorpio (November 8th 🥰). I have a very divided family so I understand the pain of not being very close with them. Hearing about your mom touches my heart so much because I work for a homeless shelter in Central Maine! I feel like I’ve grown into a better person parallel to you and I just want you to know I love your journey so much and hope you keep doing better!

Jeffree you are so amazing! You are an inspiration to me. I love how you can be yourself without showing any fear.

Jeffree is so real and genuine, he is extremely articulate and intelligent but at the same time his sense of humor is totally profane, sarcastic and dark. Love him.

I feel this so much, I’m literally the same age he was when he was doing this and I still have a problem but it’s getting better, I’m about 2 weeks clean from when I last did it but why i do it is so different, I’ve never done it because I felt hollow and empty I’ve never done it just to feel something but once I started it became my stress reliever and it became an addiction. I’m working on bettering myself for the better for myself and my boyfriend and my family and friends. Jeffree watching you has made me feel so much better and watching both of your series now has made me so happy and interested in playing with makeup more. I got chills and tears watching this story! I wish he had a sister channel taking on real issues like this!

Jeffree actually seems more down to earth and humble these days. He's obviously worked for everything he has and it's good to see how far he has come and who he is as a person. I think doing the series with Shane really helped him realize that it's ok to share and be real. Now I have yet another reason to love Jeffree and yet another reason to admire, respect and love Shane more.

Seriously. This felt like a genuine, heart-felt video. The one I watched before this (from a female vlogger) had some of the worst acting I've ever seen in my life. Shane is extremely good at what he does, and I am glad he let me (and others) see the real Jeffree.

dab howlter I love Jeffree to, and he is a strong person, but one of the strongest on the planet? No. There are people being bombed, and having to walk 10+ miles a day with no shoes for water, etc. Think you all forget that. Those are some of the strongest people.

Jeffree, this is such an amazing and inspiring video! It really touched my heart and gave me hope! I relate to both of you so much, because I have always had a strained relationship with my mother and, because, I have been on and off homeless since I was sixteen because of our conflicting personalities. Being homeless is so hard and living without your mother's love and approval is Even harder. And I just want to say that both you and her are such Strong and beautiful souls that I respect so much! Obviously im familiar with you a lot more than her, but, just the fact that she did not ask you for help in all her struggling, is so respectable. And I know what that's like. My family members have been very successful and well off in their lives, and I just felt so scared and far away from them that I found it impossible to beg for help, when what I really wanted was their love and to be proud of me. You have been inspiring and amazing me since I was 13 years old and I added you on Myspace, so thank you Jeffree, for being a source of strength and beauty to me in my life.
