I'd love to hear from sellers across Bricklink the most hilarious and/or nonsensical orders they've ever recieved. That would be a great topic

Oh I have had some in my first 100 - one piece that was worth $0.02 sent to a rural address costing them $12.52…..maybe a future video when there is enough, although most orders are interesting to some degree

Solid video! Myth No.6. Hard work pays off!! Just when you think you have worked it out everything changes 😅

Appreciate it! Definitely - could even be “Efficient work pays off”. Aiming to release how we sort, clean and process used Lego next week! Going to be a long one but hopefully lots of good advice in there :)

This is so helpful!!! I’m curious, about how much time does it take to keep up with a small Bricklink store? Could my two teenage boys and I each spend maybe 15 hours a week working on the store? Or would we need to spend more time than that?

It’s a great question and not a simple answer. I currently work full time and run my Bricklink store part time. It is definitely manageable, just may slow down how fast you grow. Used definitely takes longer to sort, but often has a higher margin. I’d say 15 hours is workable. I am probably spending longer as I am also doing the social media side of things too. Orders can take time to pick as well! Good to be aware of that. Have a look at my sorting video and hopefully that helps give an idea

Are all your customers in NZ? if not, around what percentage of orders are international?

Have only just opened up international orders as it is time consuming to fill out customs. Majority are domestic currently

Sounds fun, where do you get the lego from in the first place? Obviously you buy second hand lots? Do you collect it or buy online and get it sent to you?

Generally bought online - either through TradeMe (our version of EBay) or Facebook marketplace seems to be the best sources. We have limited yard sales/garage sales and second hand stores don’t seem to have too much when I’ve been in

Since they added GST I don't know if I will buy from bricklink any time soon.

Should only be GST on overseas orders. Unless you are making very large sales here - NZ stores should be normal pricing. We aren’t GST registered as we are under the threshold

yup overseas orders since minifigures parts I'm looking for usually hard to find in NZ @@kiwibrickexchange
