My second love after horses is decorating and renovating on a budget... I am always painting furniture!! I really prefer your new layout with the sofa under the window, and our dining room is a very similar green, I love it! Can't wait to see what you do with your hallway xx

This is such a coincidence seeing this vlog - I have just got some green paint to do a green feature wall with the rest white. However, I have brown sofas (looking for a brown corner sofa) and will be getting lighter colour furniture with beige floor length curtains as I have a beige carpet too. Your lounge looks beautiful and is making me excited to get mine all done now too! xx

I just love your shelving unit! It looks amazing! Your living room really got a nice upgrade! We moved at the same time (Dec 2020) and I'm just about as far along as you are now.. In the hottest week this summer in the Netherlands I decided to paint my concrete fences (not the correct word I think but you'll know what I mean 😅) I've painted almost 40 meters of concrete fence over the course of 3 days in the sun while it was 28 degrees outside.. Not the best idea I ever had but it looked so bad and I was annoyed by the look of it for 1,5 years.. When something pops in my head that I really want it done.. It needs to be done asap all of a sudden no matter the conditions 😂 I'm still waiting for that to happen with the stairs because I still need to paint those but that's such a hard thing to do for me physically (I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome) that I just keep pushing it "to the near future" (which will probably mean that I'll be getting it done in a few years 🙈). I'm on a budget also and didn't have the money to by shelving or a nice bookcase kind of furniture so I made something myself.. Bought very cheap wooden planks, stained them with an "old look finish) saw them into 4 peaches of 1 meter and hung them up with leather bands I cut myself from a big piece of leather that was rejected by a company that makes shoes (got it for free) the end result looks good though! Just keep upgrading your house bit by bit over time.. It's much more satisfying that way!
