Patty Obasi reminds me of my growing up in Southeast Nigeria. I'm Yoruba. My Sunday is blessed.

Growing up with my Uncle after the death of grandparents, my Uncle’s wife was a great believer and a strong Christian she plays this songs every morning till it became part of our life, talking about 2008 thereabouts. Now she’s late, playing this song in 2023 brings tears to my eyes now I’m beginning to see what she saw. This songs are spiritual and my kids must listen to Patty Obasy 🙏

I am in the middle of the night in UK and crying with nostalgia reminiscing about my childhood years missing my mum and dad of blessed memories ❤

When i'm asked why i don't listen to much modern Nigerian gospel songs,Patty Obasi is one of the reasons...his songs soothes the soul,brings one to repentance,makes one think about his or her life and finally makes us all cry as i'm right now listening to these songs! We never played these songs, but our neighbour and their tenants played them so much. As an adult I started appreciating these songs and it reminds me of my childhood days. Sadly this particular neighbour that played songs loudly has passed on in his 40s. I used to like how their compound is always busy with loud varieties of Igbo songs
