Its a problem of shrines & altars. The bible is also full of ancestral shrines & traditions. Traditions are about mortals & the dead but life is about immortality & not mortality. Death & life, truth & lies, do not mix & religion & tradition is a big lie that the dead are alive & can be therefore be worshipped. Matt 1:16-1(shrine) Luke 3: 38-21( shrines) In these shrines Jesus(v16) and Adan's father( v38) who are human beings are wirshipped as gods not God Gen 25:8( another shrine) Convclusion is that religion and ancestral worship & sangomas, pastors & witchfoctors are one & the same thing@

Why God must be feared, is he a mobster, a thief, a murderer, a tyrant, a despot, slave master, a raging jealous partner, a narcissist ? Can you do same and read the bible fearlessly and you will discover that the God of Israel in the bible who spoke to prophets like Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel etc fits the description above.

I don't think Maponga is teaching what the Scriptures say but what he understands by spirituality. He should better preach about Mbuya Nehanda and many other spirit mediums of 19th century in Zimbabwe. The Word of God had a path which it followed from creation to date. I don't think anyone in the Bible ever worshipped Adam, Eve, Seth, Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David etc. They worshipped God only (as in the Old Testament) and through Jesus Christ (as in the New Testament). Why should the spirit of one long gone ancestor come into one's life?

Saul of Tarsus whom you know as Apostle Paul also wrote all his letters believing that they were at end times. If the world ends none will be spared so dwelling on end time fear mongering is lazy and thoughtless. Seek God and stop judging others ………judging others musk the true beauty and godliness of everything around you. You won’t even recognise Jesus when he visits you in your dreams or sat next to you. Please reread the bible and you will discover that in biblical times people asked to be ruled and worship other humans because they wanted to be lead by their own king thus Kings and Queens came into being ( Royalty). Today Christians worship Yeshua Ben Joseph a Son of Man and you call him Jesus. It is written in scriptures that Jesus rebuked his disciples when they called him God and said he was the Son and was sent by his father to do his work. There is nowhere in the entire bible where Jesus said he is God. The holy trinity is a late addition in the bible in an attempt to equate Jesus to the Creator whom Jesus called on his last minutes on the cross asking his to relieve him of the pain. You mentioned Seth, read Gen 5:3 and you discover that Adam created Seth in his image and likeness …….don’t you worship God for he created you in his image and likeness?
