@carlosgibson2911 that's the edited version of all 3 days. Day number one was at his star on Hollywood Blvd walk of fame. Day number two was the Memorial musical at Cornerstone Institutional B.C. of Los Angeles, he founded/pastored in November of 1971, a few years after the start of GMWA National Convention. Day number three was at the Shrine Auditorium, the only thing that wasn't shown was Rev. Cleveland burial at Inglewood Cemetery.

I was a member of the LA youth chapter and the youngest member of the adult chapter, so I sang for the viewing at Cornerstone and the homegoing at the Shrine. It took about 6 months later for me to randomly break down crying my eyes out. What an honor it was to sit at the feet of greatness, to attend the GMWA when James still ran it and so many other wonderful memories. I was a member of Double Rock, but considered Cornerstone my second church home.

Peace be still is one of the greatest songs ever written!! My mother would always take us to see James Cleveland when he would come to Wash.D.C. I was 15, and would sit in front of the stage..It was a memorizing experience!!! Thanks for sharing this!!!!

I was 15years old when I met the late Rev James Cleveland growing up in Los Angeles myself my twin sister Amelia and Gertrude we were the youngest members of the Southern California Community Choir oh my gosh what wonderful time we had in thoses days we attended the gospel music workshop of America with Rev be bless Ms Aurelia Elayne Nicholson King who now resides in San Antonio Texas.

My Aunt had a Record back in the day of hers I used to play all the time with her version of Donnie Hathaway's "Singing A Song For You" on it and she did the old Gospel Song "Trouble In My Way" and her song "Give Me Somethin To Hold On To."

Paul Jones to me (side note: I listened to the song, but it was very different from this recording. so I would guess my intuition was right). @@TrevonDawson thank you so much. I guess it was the audio quality that gave me the impression, because it really sounded like the late Rev. Paul Jones to me (side note: I listened to the song, but it was very different from this recording. so I would guess my intuition was right). By the way, quick question... you seem to upload all your videos in 16:9 (which is cropping the original 4:3 resolution). I'm just wondering, is that how the videos were rendered or why is that?
