It's been a minute but I'm back giving an update on my locs so far. I'm 3 years and 9 months in, I've been trying some new products overall things are looking good but I'm having some issues with buildup.

Congrats on growing back your hair!! Have you tried just aloe Vera gel? I use my Joie hair gel extra hold (my hair lady used regular hold). I have no build up. Ugh my locs I only have build up when I over apply products and/or reapply gel.

I've never tried aloe veral gel to retwist but I've seen others do it. I heard of the joie gel, do you get it from Amazon, that's the only place I've seen it.
