At 8:30, the Mage Tower DK armor set looks perfect with the mint green Bonereaper appearance as well as the mint green Herald of Pestilence. I alternate between those two on my DK. Not as cool as the warrior mage tower with red Argus scythe, but I digress.

Just got your video recommended and wanted to leave a quick comment for the youtube algorythm but also to say that it's really enjoyable to hear about your experience. I've returned to retail at the end of BfA and been playing it nonstop up to this point and it's really nice to get a glimpse of the current returning player experience. Great video, well done!

The solution to this is surprisingly easy. Just post your key and make your own group, it's really easy to get a group going for a low level key, specially +2. It's a shame the game doesn't tell you to do it, I know a lot of people quit because they can't get into groups. Raiding is a different story, but m+ is a big scene because it's really easy to start a group for them, even if you're a solo player.

Good luck with getting Tusks, it took me over 1,140 kills to get mine. This was in Legion so I made my own speed set + and was farming timeless isle frogs for bonus loot. Then just repeatedly doing Garrosh over and over via a lockout on my DK. Which does remind me that if you want to skip Garrosh's RP you can pull those slimes from the hallway and pull them onto him.

I love retail as a pvper. I just want to queue arena and got honor geared in two hours. It’s awesome. And PvP progression is separate from pve so I’ve had fun pushing keys. So many quality of life changes and the classes are so refined. I do love retail

as a 2300 rated frost mage who has been consistently above 2100 for the last 8 years I can say retail wow's classes are not refined and are imbalanced as all hell.

Same, but I only RP and once in awhile PvP with friends. I'm a filthy casual these days. For me the "one thing" was the Naxx update. Finally got to finish my Icebane set after 15+ years and get the tombstone shield that used to drop off, I think Gluth, in level 60 Naxx (Something I was disappointed I never got before the dungeon was removed in Wrath).

1:30 You can skip to the last boss in ICC, Ulduar, and even Dragonsoul, given there is some steps, but farming it on multiple chars, or even sharing ICC with friends, is not that much off a hassle ✌️

Blizz should add NPC that fights with you on those group quests that no one does anymore.

Quality content for such a small channel, true inspiration buddy. Subbed 🤝

I havent played WoW since 2016, and thinking about getting back into it just overwhelms me becuase i know damn well once i log in, there are going to be 400 different systems i need to do to get gear or what ever else... to many systems to keep track..

I always played wow on PS and was just a kid. Recently played some runescape iron man and saw that WoW had something similar. Been playing a lot of HC, but downloaded retail to see how it was. Game is so different now, its basically a new game, but also feels so polished . Not sure if i will keep my sub but having access to both games is a big plus.

i haft to admit i tried disc priest healing for the first time since mist and i play a warrior or dk since then .it was fun leveling it to 60 then trying it in freehold mythic i mean retail does have some interesting stuff.

I jumped back in after a friend told me the Blizzcon panel had a lot of positive changes coming. So on my birthday I got drunk, subbed and jumped in. Used a level token because I didn't wanna grind and used the returning player thing to wipe my current quest log and added new bags and gear... I had no idea where to go and what the fuck was going on, I had 4 new dragon mounts and just picked up a bunch of quests to figure out what's new to the game. I'm gonna level another character to figure out the path of progression to unlock some additional playable races.

Man apparently there is gonna be a new 2h legendary axe in the next patch. That, and this video made me wanna come back... Thing is, I really enjoyed the launch of DF, i played 24/7 for a few weeks then, but the game became hell around level 20-22 mythic+-es. God forbid im only playing a class thats only A+ on most content creators tierlists... (arms/fury). I legit had to wait at least 30-40 minutes for A SINGLE invite, and 90% of the runs end in 2 minutes... (I was applying for 22 keys when i had every dungeon completed on 21...) I actually had my brother and a good friend to play together with, but as 3 dps classes (dh, monk, warrior) we couldn't even play our own keys XDD Or, you'd think people would be happy to accept a 3 man premade, all high scores (a step below the ultra grinders i guess), but no, 0 invites when applying together... So we just sat there all 3 of us queuing separately... I kinda miss the game, especially m+, its so enjoyable with a good team, but I don't see it going any other way than last time if i come back now

I stopped playing during the start of Dragonflight and said one of the only things I'd come back for is if they put unobtainable mounts back in the game. Between the Siege of Orgrimmar skip and the Swift Zhevra in the trading post I logged into retail again. And the new stuff so far isn't too bad.

I managed to win the swift Bengal tiger from one of my first bmah boxes. I've been chasing that high ever since but unfortunately the wow gods are not all loving. I think I paid more for the box that gave me one of those cats in elwynn forest you can buy for 10 silver than I did for the mount box 😩

This video alone was the reason i got back into wow. Not as much as before but just as much as this video perfectly describes the vibe of the current state of wow

@@BobbyFlay14 try starting your own groups, I've found that it's the best way to pug since BFA. The only requirement is that your ilvl is high enough from other content that people don't inspect you and leave (people will smell a carry group a mile away). This way you get to be the nitpicky one and invite the overgeared people, or people who actually need the gear, up to you.

I will never go back to retail WoW because when I retired I deleted EVERYTHING....meaning all my TSM settings, all my addons, etc....Also, I've updated my computer so it's not really about never playing WoW again, it's more me knowing I will never remember how to get it back to the way I had it set up. Finally, it's been about two years since I quit so watching retail content videos I'm completely lost. It was a fun decade plus of playing.

Classic wrath is OP👌🏽 You found the community again and that community is what made wow, wow… Flying through iron forge I’m retail it’s so sad, I remember that place being almost packed out cause storm wind would lag you if you didn’t have a high end pc.

The problem with Wow both retail and Private servers is the people are too competitive to the point that you get placed on the side line because no on wants to play with you unless you have high rating and achievements. Its the same every time I come back to wow, everyone looks for the most competitive players out there while you just sit on the side and scrape the leftovers because you know you will never be able to join a group to experience the "high end" content.

Yes, this sort of behaviour is present now everywhere on all levels of WoW from the classic through wrath and up to the retail. For Raids, u can just join a casual guild, but for Mythic+ or the Wotlk's HC+++ dungeons, it sucks

Make your own guild, look for new players or people who feel the same way as you do and become part of the solution :) you have all the tools you need at your disposal. Become the answer to your problem ^^

*soloing time rifts is 100% possible, the boss will scale. ive had to do them alone at like 3am a few times. 😊

I legit just comeback to the game for the skip to garrosh aswell, i got tusks and the mount in about 5 weeks with 10+plus runs a week, got the mount about 3 weeks ago and got tusks yesterday

Your friend can reset the wow account if he still has the original boxes of wow and sends them msg with account details like cd key from the retail box, name linked to account and what email it was connected to. You might need ID for verification also to show them.

I came back recently, and I'm mixed on it. Its been rough to get into +17's because the gatekeeping looking for a meta class is out of control, but I've been able to do 9/9 Heroic and 3/9 Mythic clears each week, and usually 1-2 +16-+17 keys. Still very many times the group falls to pieces because we have an off meta team or something, but its at least do-able. Gear catchup is at its best its been, I was able to be full Heroic tier 432 in a single week from questing greens. Levelling alts is heinous though, and i swear they nerfed the XP intake from doing the dragonflight questline as it takes all regions finished to hit 70 now when it only took me 3 on my main at launch. Still dont know about how little content was added though. The longevity of getting a single dungeon and 1 world event as a full patch was immensely disappointing, and i have absolutely no idea why everyone was so happy with so little. Even Firelands was a better mid-patch than this.

On keys and raids: what do you expect from pugs? And on leveling: no, you have BOA leveling gear...and then you have flasks to help you lvl faster...and then you have LFG to help tanks/healers level even faster then that. With my BOA gear I level 1 to 2 levels per LFG run....and you want to lvl even FASTER then this? Oh not to mention they had a HUGE XP dump pre-xpac even for months....

Got a sub for me for being entertaining. I'm still playing Final Fantasy but wanted to have some characters ready in WoW for later patches to get ready for the next expansion. Decided to go a bit hardcore though, updated my leather and plate heirlooms, deleted my Horde character mains (except my monk alt will transfer her later because she's a pandaren) and started over as Alliance. Got my demon hunter and pally to 53 already, will slowly work on the void elf warrior through Salad Lands (which I fully skipped). Might try a night elf rogue in hardcore, get the dalrend swords from UBRS (like I did my original troll rogue in 2005) and then log off forever.

I likes the video. Deserves a sub!

Retail is the best it’s been gameplay and expansion wise in a few expansions

I just returned three days ago. It feels new but still the same. I’m definitely rusty af though. Evoker is fun. Holding down for certain moves is kind of clunky though. Sometimes I have to press the button twice. Maybe because of GCD and my timing being off? Idk.

For evokers there is an option to swap from hold and release to tap twice. Once to start the cast, second to release. I swapped it and never looked back, it feels a lot better... At least for me.

I’m a vanilla player that has been playing classic Lich king over the last few months I haven’t faithfully played retail Wow since the end of pandas and I truly need to know if this is a world that I am ready for or is ready for me all input is acceptable because my social circle is torn all over the grid

Be rdy to be declined for not playing meta class, not having 9/9 mythic on day 1, being kicked randomly out of groups bef content starts and so on.

The only one of these that is realistic is the meta class one. Never seen someone ask for 9/9 , or kick someone before combat starts
