I love how they kept the lore of Gimilis' story post RotK. Merry and Pippin would travel to Minas Tirith in their last days, Gimli taking a ship with Legolas to Valinor and meet Giladriel once again.

Durin is the true lord of Khazad-Dum, we are the Lords of the Black pit that is Moria.
