Retrosigmoid (or Suboccipital) Approach to Acoustic Neuroma Surgical Removal

Animation showing overall surgical approach to remove a medium to large sized acoustic neuroma (or vestibular schwannoma) via retrosigmoid approach. This approach is also known as suboccipital approach. The skull is entered behind the ear, immediately behind the sigmoid sinus vessel, and the cerebellum retracted to expose the acoustic neuroma.
