Great video as always!, i have bought the radio with the accessories but without the screen, i have configurated mine but i think it software is too old, i mean, the little phone appears on the screen, and on the information menu, the opcion telephone is there, but there is no opcion to do a search, so when i connect from the phone it shows on the radio if i want to pair with the phone and i accept, but then i can only introduce the password code on the phone and not on the radio and the conexion fails. Also another functions that i have avaiable with the rd4 i cannot access with this radio, for example, the bass and treble are missing with this radio and i cannot access to the audio or radio settings (the one at the left when you select menu and a 4 options appear, the icon it's a cd, a radio and a musical note), and the radio text is also not avaiable, but in this case the "loud" that is shown in that part of the screen, it's avaiable for me but not shown on the screen. What do you think it could be? Maybe my screen software v51.6 software is too old for it and i need a newer screen? Many thanks in advance and cheers from Uruguay🇺🇾!

Could I avoid the Diagbox activation if I only purchase the new screen and buy the AUX cable separately (only the AUX cable, neither the microphone nor USB cable) or should I buy the combo RD45+screen if I want to skip the diagbox step?

Hi. You need Diagbox to configure the radio to know that you put an AUX In cable in it.

I was wondering if this is suitable for citroen jumpy 2nd edition (2015) too since the connectors looks to me the same. while in the compatible citroen models is never mentioned.

@@d312ify Ask the seller if he can write VIN from your car (vehicle identification number, it looks something like this: VF...............) in the radio memory you want to buy. If he does that all you have to do is mount the radio, screen and cables, then it should work.

Hello. Your screen is compatible, so you only need to replace your RD4 radio with an RD45 one. Don't forget the cables (usb and microphone).

Hello. If you already have a Type C screen, it will need to be programmed with Diagbox to display the Bluetooth menu. RD45 radio is plug and play but you will probably need to use Diagbox to program it with your car's VIN so as not to beep: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKWHmJugmdTVerw.html

Hello. I had no problems with this module consuming battery. The power cable must be connected to the wire that gives + when the ignition is on and you will not have problems.

I have 2 separate cables for microphone and aux. So I have to use both slots at the back of the radio (6:30 in the video). Do I have to enable both AUX 1 and AUX 2 with diagbox to use both slots? (I have an RD45 of course.)

Clar recomand o unitate cu Android cu un hardware bun, spre exemplu cea de la Idoing, pentru versatilitatea sa in a o folosi ca navigator, media player, etc. Unitatea originala din acest clip este potrivita pentru cine vrea sa faca modificarea doar cu piese originale (retrofit) si nu tine neaparat sa cheltuie prea multi bani. Eu doar am facut acest clip in scop demo. La capitolul sunet ambele se aud la fel de bine, pe unitatea cu Android ai inclusiv un egalizator audio ce poate fi setat dupa preferinta + iesire dedicata pentru subwoofer cu posibilitatea de setare a volumului.

Hi Adrian. I have Peugeot 5008, 2010. I replaced my old Bosch RD4 radio with the new RD45 and new display with Bluetooth menu enabled. With the new RD45 all works fine, but when I am connected to my phone streaming and voice talk is doing ok, but on the screen it is all the time toggling between connected and disconnected. Do you maybe have an idea why? Before I didn't have Bluetooth, but I had AUX and USB (IPOD was also recognized). Does the old RD4 has some USB module, that needs to be disconnected? Thanks, Toni

Hello. Try to disconnect that old bluetooth module from the radio power plug, it may have a conflict with the new RD45 radio.

@@AdrianDragan Hi Adrian. I didn't have Bluetooth option before in RD4. I bought the new C-type display that had BT enabled option already there. Where should it be? You mentioned power plug. So this is the main plug, not the one with the AUX- and microphone? I removed the white one with the AUX and the problem was still present.

Sorry, I read too fast and misunderstood. I thought you had bluetooth mode before on rd4. I don't know where the problem may come from, I haven't encountered this problem before. I'm thinking maybe Diagbox coding needs to be redone.

As I said, coding should be done. Go to the "Multifunction Screen" menu and there turn off and turn on bluetooth options again. I don't have a tutorial on this and I don't know exactly how to do it either ... Hope to work.

Hi. Yes, you can do this. No need to ask at your garage about VIN code. VIN code (vehicle identification number) can be found written on the label of the pillar at the driver's door or on the bottom left of the windshield and is a series of 17 characters starting with VF............... You can ask the seller if he can program the radio with this series. Probably your bluetooth module is separate from the radio, so I don't think the microphone you already have on the car will be compatible, you will have to buy cables + microphone. But before buying all this, I recommend remove your radio and see what model it is on the label.

Hello. Any type of "C" screen is compatible but will need to be configured using Diagbox to display the Bluetooth menu.

Hello Andrian and thanks for the extended explanations. I got a 2nd hand C4 from 2010 with an original RD45 I think (bluetooth logo, mp3 logo, hands free controls on steering wheel, usb plug in armsrest). but I can't see the BT signal of the car (I tried ignition on, engine off, to pair from the car end, and from my 2022 android phone end, never succedded to get the unit or the phone). on the unit, I can see the 3 first bluetooth configuration menus (add, list and delete device) nothing happens when I click, and a 4th menu "sort of greyed / dotted" to "scan for devices" that I can't select/use. is that issue known?

Hello. It is possible that the bluetooth module is defective. However, try to disconnect the battery terminal for 15 minutes and then reconnect, see if it will work after this.

@@AdrianDragan Thanks for your fast reply. do you confirm at least it's an RD45? is there any risk the unit will require a code to work after disconnecting? I scanned with my tiny OBD2 tool (BT + phone app), no faults. but I guess it doesn't perform a deep scan. I also tested a usb stick, woth mp3 music. the unit didn't detect it.

@@willf.8617 If you sent a picture, I can't see it because probably the link was automatically deleted by KZread, you can try to link the picture from Google Photos. Once the radio is disconnected from the power supply, it will not ask you for any code when you power it up again. The tester on OBD and phone application cannot do a deep scan.

Incepe de pe la 60$ numai unitatea radio si ajunge pana la 120$ cu tot cu cabluri, ecran si microfon.

@Adrian Dragan la un 307 ce sa pus acest radio rd45 am pus VIN-ul ca sa nu mai bipuie și e ok.. Doar ca nu răspunde deloc la apăsarea butoanelor " Menu .. Mode și Ok" Am facut un test de acționare din diagbox și ele merg ... Ceva imi scapă . Ai vreo ideie? Ecranul a rămas același care era pe masina.

I have not heard about this possibility so far but it would not be excluded that the screen is to blame because bluetooth no longer works.

Hi Adrian, I have this problem, maybe you have a solution for it. My car is a Citroen C3 (2006) with its original RD4 radio. I bought an used RD45 radio because I wanted to use its USB connector (on the back) for lisening to my USB-Music device. I knew, that the new radio should be "married" with the ECU of my car, the VIN must be encoded in the new radio by using DiagBox (which I have). I was surprised to see, that the DiagBox showed in radio menue "no connection with this ECU possible", so I could not connect the new radio (see permanently beeping). For the original radio I do have full access, i. e., I can modify its encoded VIN. Can you imagine a solution in order to connect the new radio? The RD45 comes from a Citroen C3 (2013) with maybe a different ECU as the 2006 model.Thanks, Immanuel

Salut. Nu stiu cu ce difera RD4 N2 fata de versiunea standard dar ar trebui sa poti pune fara probleme un RD45.

Bună Am montat și eu pe Citroen c4, un radio RD4, nu RD 45, cu softul 03 și cu modulul de bluetooth NOMADE V2.Merge, e ok, însă nu mă pricep să închid apelurile telefonice după convorbire.Dacă puteți să mă ajutați cu un răspuns. Vă mulțumesc!

Hi, I have a problem. On my screen I have a small logo with a crossed-out phone, and when I go to menu I have several categories, including the one to configure a phone. Hello. Are you sure you have RD45 radio? Probably your radio is not RD45 but the screen is configured for the bluetooth function and that is why the Bluetooth menu appears.

@@AdrianDragan No it doesn't, I took the radio out and it writes "RD4" on it. I tried to replace it with my friend's radio where his says "RD45" on it and the bluetooth was working. But as soon as I put my radio back on, it no longer works. Is my radio too old? Or should I activate the Bluetooth function of my radio in a Citroën garage?

@@AdrianDragan I forgot to mention that my car has bluetooth as well as a ceiling microphone which are both original. Only I think the problem is with my radio, maybe it's an old version that needs to be updated.

Είναι η καλύτερη λύση, γιατί παίζουν τα χειριστήρια στο τιμόνι χωρίς έξτρα ανταπτορες, ούτε χάνεις το μενού των ρυθμίσεων. Αν το προχωρήσεις τελικά γράψε εδώ πως πήγε.

I have a problem with this radio bluetooth connection in my C5 X7. When ever i try to connect it with my iphone X i always try to type the PIN numer on the radio, that it instantly says that parring is failure. I have tried with 0000 /1111/1234 etc but no matter what it always stops after this phase.

Salut. Eu sunt din Tulcea, te costa 80 lei montajul + activarea optiunii cu Diagbox. Nu poti folosi modulul bluetooth pentru apeluri sa se auda pe boxele masinii si sa folosesti microfonul telefonului,trebuie sa cumperi un modul bluetooth cu microfon. Vezi primul link din descrierea clipului.
