I ADORE this!! I love this and your Maria Felix look. It's inspiring to see other latinas in the historical dress/diy sewing community, and really more diversity in general!! I love historical dress youtube, but it does tend to be a little euro-centric. I'm gonna learn how to sew so I can make this iconic look :) when you break it down it actually is a pretty simple garment!

Ha! The dancing at the end was the best! I love that you went to the fabric district and they knew that purple fabric. You did so well! I'm impressed. Love that you also knew she was modest. :) My Father is buried by her in Corpus Christie, Texas. Such a sad end for such a vibrant talent. Also I can really relate to the losing patience thing.
