How did this year's "Let's Go Retro" theme for the San Diego County Fair come to be?

So many memories! Walking the fairgrounds with my friends! Taking our pictures in black and white, too, in the photo booth! Still have those photos.....so care free!!!!!! Loved the Himalaya ride! And listening outside to concert music even without a ticket!

F del mar. cant even have it in San Diego proper? idiotic. Cities outside of san diego in san diego county dont have the kind of pull or personality to be able to not have its signature fair outside of its largest most well known city. This isnt orange county.
