You're jumping through hoops to keep the history of those works of art alive while big names (or big N-ame) of the industry are butchering it for stupid greedy reasons. Well said :)
This needs to become a series, most of those channels are mostly concerned with the hardware side of things which is cool, but I love getting recommendations for games to try out since I was basically a DOS kid and I don't know many retro games apart from top 10 lists or hidden gem lists. Personal favorites are just a little well more personal.
This video was so much fun, incredibly well done as always!

My hidden gem is 'Record of Lodoss War' on Dreamcast. From my understanding, it strays from the lore of the anime in order to better service what it is, a really good Diablo clone. In fact, the best on any consoles of that generation, if you ask me.

I love this a lot, thanks to all the awesome people who will contribute to this series
Brilliant! We need more videos covering cool games to play on our handhelds. Greatly appreciated!
My personal hidden gem is Metal Storm for the Famicom/NES. It’s a robot platformer game. I love it because it has a really interesting gravity inversion mechanic. The graphics are top-tier, and the controls are incredibly smooth. All that creates a very immersive experience.

Sega Genesis: Beyond Oasis. This is my hidden gem. It's basically a Zelda Beat-em-up Action RPG for the Genesis / Megadrive.
So excited for all the episodes, thx a lot !

Holy cow! It's like Super Retrogaming All-Stars! Fantastic, guys!
Will definitely check out some of these hidden gems. Thanks for reminding me that Qix exists too!
Speaking of hidden gems... Tales of Eternia is super underrated. Everyone knows the series because of Symphonia on the gamecube, but Eternia has such a nice little cast and the combat is genuinely fun.
Oh my god, Capture the Flag! I absolutely loved that game. I remember trying to get my mom to play it with me because I was an only child living on a farm. In my adulthood I think I'd completely forgotten about it.

@ThePhawx ! I love your hidden gems pick (I won't spoil it here), it's one I often try to get people to play. I bought it thinking it was one basic thing, and started playing and discovered just how magical it was. Great choice, dude! Nice choices all 'around. Good job getting the roundup, Dweeb!
Great video Mr Dweeb, also great to be introduced to new content providers like your self, keep up the hard work and drink more root beer 😊
The Retro Roundtable is the collab I always wanted. The channels that got me into retro emulation and handhelds.
Capture the Flag is such a great choice! I haven't played a serious game of it since the 90s, but I always make sure my Carr Software folder is one of the first things I copy over when I get a new hard drive/PC
Yo! I gotta “hand it” to ya! You got a great series going here, please keep it up!

Holy cow, Capture the Flag! I used to buy all sorts of magazines that had shareware on them and I remember playing that game! Must've been 8 or 9 years old back then, what a game!
You're a real artist man, love you.
This was fun to watch and learned about other creators I haven't been exposed to (love everything Retro Game Corps does!)
Amazing stuff, my good Dweeb. Always look forward to a new video and even more so when a multitude of my other favorite Retro KZreadrs are included! Small nitpick with the editing -- when Zu is talking about DQVII, there's an insert of an image of DQVIII. This is an awesome video. Loads of cool games to try out 😁
Fun fact about apocalypse on the ps1, Bruce was going to be a secondary character in the game so all of his dialogue was written and recorded as though he was reacting to what the main player was doing, but testing of the game found people wanted to play as Willis.

Absolutely loved this video. This is the collab vid I didn't think I needed. For me my hidden gem is Full Auto 2: Battlelines on PSP (also on the PS3). Would be considered retro? Anyways I played so much of this when I was younger. Its a combat racing game with weapons, cool sound fx and some really cool cars designs. Thanks to this amazing community and happy gaming!
It is cool to see you guys united talking about Games ❤
Such an all star cast! Loved this video!
Enjoyed the video. Final Lap Twin is definitely something I'm gonna enjoy as a fan of Lamborgini American Challenge for the SNES, but with betting instead of a set amount to be paid for loosing. I'd say katamari damacy is probably the least hidden gem on the list here. It kinda blew up because of the absurdity in early online stuff at the time. You could roll a ball up and pick up people. It was shocking to people. Very fun game though. Highly suggest.
There’s all of these good retro gaming personalities and then there’s Joey. What a stark contrast when you line them up like this.
This was a really fun video! I love it! My hidden gem is Cosmo Tank for the OG Gameboy. Many good memories there.

This is such an excellent idea. Great collaboration from some of my favorite content creators. Maybe you can get Retro Game Guy in on the action. One of my favorite hidden gems was Crusader No Remorse. It was a DOS game with a very interesting perspective. I was sucked in by the box art, fortunately it was a really fun game.

Final Lap Twin was techincally the first JRPG I ever played back when it was released back in 1989, and was what got me into the genre as a whole. I recommend that game to people all the time and rarely does anyone take me up on checking it out. I hope this video gets more people to play it. It's an awesome Dragon Warrior/Early Final Fantasy wannabe and does it's own things, including hidden loot, areas, dungeons etc. Absolutely a treasure of an early JRPG.
Every hidden gem video that doesnt list Shantae (great game, not hidden anymore) heals my soul
Cool I love this finding out new old games
Nice! I played so much Capture the Flag with siblings and friends back in the day. Totally forgot about it, thanks for the reminder.
a few minutes after shadow of the ninja being recommended in this video I found out that it's being remastered. That's pretty cool for those that want the game with newer looking graphics.
This was so great, looking forward to more chapters. My hidden gems are all the Intellivision games I grew up with. Night Stalker, B-17 Bomber, Star Strike and both D&D games (including a 3D one!) stand out.
Thanks for adding to the pile of games I've gotta play before I take the big sleep! Y'all got some bangers! 🎉 💚
I love watching your videos and so happy to see you did a collab with all of my favorite dweebs. I don't know if this is a hidden gem but no one ever talks about it. GBA - Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge
I think a lot of people already are aware of Solomon's Key, but not enough! So i think it still counts as a hidden gem. And yeah, Darkwing Duck i only found out in older hidden gems videos, and is now one of my guilty pleasures.
@TechDweeb

Oh 100% Solomon's Key! I found that while hidden gem hunting. It's awesome!
My favorite hidden gems are Rastan (Arcade & Console [sms] ) and Black Tiger (Arcade). Thank God for emulation!
Great video! Love the camaraderie. One of my retro hidden gems has to be Kwirk on GB. I never owned a GB growing up (I'm and 80's kid) but I had friends and family that had one. I never really played Kwirk until I met my father-in-law (in 2002). He had an OG gameboy and a couple games but he was always playing Kwirk. He showed it to me one day and I got HOOKED. My father-in -law passed away a few years ago and as a gift to my wife, I got her a red GB Pocket with a copy of Kwirk. We play it once in a while and have fun solving the puzzles but most of all we remember my father-in-law while playing it.
As I am finishing the video, Capture the Flag is an amazing game! I remember playing it as a kid! I emulated it a few years back, but now want to see if I can get it working on an Odin 2 🤔
Great Video something abit different. Like it.
All of your videos are great 👍 I'm a big fan. This one was outstanding. Top 5 material for sure
My hidden gem: the 1982 arcade game, "The Pit". It's a single screen precursor to the likes of Boulderdash. Dig down into an alien pit, evade robot bad guys, grab a diamond, and escape through a monster-filled pit before the enemy tank destroys your spaceship! So much character squeezed into such simple graphics!
@TechDweeb

That actually looks like a lot of fun. I love arcade games from the early 80s.
Whoa! I had that capture the flag game on our pc when I was younger. I played it a lot! Later when we had a newer PC, I played mainly rage: incoming and total annihilation ^^
I remember Capture the Flag! I played it all the time on one of those "500 Great Games" Dos shareware compilations that our dad would sometimes bring back from work trips. Thank you for the memory unlock!

Oh wow, I totally forgot about capture the flag! I remember playing the crap out of the shareware version. My hidden gem is Circuit Breakers for the PS1. It's not amazing single player, but get three or four friends together, and it's the best racing game out there.
