Please Andrew, Never stop to “haalllooo - sorry”! I love it 😂🖖
... and had you shown us all 80, I would have sat here watching it, not realizing the time passing away. Thank you so much for this. Dougal is a darling...
Drooling. Dribbling over keyboard! Worth going to Germany just to see this, I wish you could have shown all 80. Thank you so much.
Thank you Andrew so lovely to see, enjoyed every minute. I certainly wouldn't have been bored had you gone in every one ! Best wishes

Glad you enjoyed it, and I hope your neighbour enjoys it too - thanks for sharing!
I could quite happily spend the entire day there, possibly two! The styling of those vans and cars really is something.
Absolutely magical, Andrew, I would have been very happy to see every exhibit. We had a Thompson back in the 60's, I think it was a Glen. Happy travels. Tony

That was fantastic. I think I could have easily watched the entire exhibition without any complaints. Thanks for that.
What a fantastic place to visit and not just for the caravans and motorhome! The cars were something else too! Absolutely loved the pink Randger, it was gorgeous! I bet Cameron was in total awe!! I liked the Car Cruiser the best but they were all wonderful! This video was one of your best if that's possible! This I think will be an epic series, you're back with a vengeance!! Loving all this from you, thank you it was wonderful!! Sending love and hugs! xxx 🥰🐕💕

Glad you enjoyed it Anne! Apparently Cameron spent so long there he got kicked out at the end of the day... :)
OK - so I might’ve watched this one more than once…! Thank you so much - like some of the other commenters, I’d have been happy to see every exhibit at length. Oh, didn’t comment until now because I was making green tomato and cucumber chutney whilst I was watching the other day, and didn’t fancy getting the keyboard sticky!
Thanks for this absolutely great visit of the Hymer museum. We really loved it. A must-see for us when we are around. 🤓😃👍🏻💚
Loved this - so interesting! I had no idea the modern teardrop shapes had their roots in history. What an amazing place - thanks for sharing. 😀
Hallooo from Albuquerque NM. It's my dream to visit the Hymer museum in person one day. Thanks for the vitural tour. Looking 4ward to my own Hymer one day too. Allen
Isn't this amazing! Really great commentary on how current van designs aren't really advancing as much as they should be, to be more functional than just leisure, and the overview that current designs are just repeating what has already been thought of before and presented as 'innovative'. This is a really great video Andrew, really interesting and engaging, cheers and glad you are having a great time! 👍🇮🇪

Everything was soooo aestheticly pleasing.
That was awesome. Such a nostalgia trip. No words really, but being me I'll try ;-) So many innovation gems to admire here, some of which modern manufacturers would do well do re-invent! The old microlight caravans were particularly thought provoking, in terms of design ideas. I'd love to spend a whole day there, one day...

Wow, just wow what a treat. I will add this to my list of must see places in Germany!
there are some absolute stunners there - as you say there is nothing really new under the sun is there?
Not sure which i love more, the cars or the caravans? They dont make them like they used to!
That Mitchibushi for me.
Andrew you don’t know your viewers as well as you think as I am sure most of us would have sat very happily and looked at very exhibit. So I suppose you could always go back again and do a full review, or maybe that was the plan LOL “Hellooo” in all of those vans but you missed doing it in the Airstream.

Nice tour!! Fascinating to see the oldies!!..always wondered at what point did the have electric hook ups start.. cause I'm assuming their batteries didn't last very long?
@andrewjditton
2 жыл бұрын
It was hand or foot pumps and gas lights a go-go. No batteries, no EHUs. Simpler days. It was in the 1980s EHUs and batteries became more popular.

🤩🥰👍😁🇳🇱thank you!
brsitol uk 1910 already making caravans ,1880s starting
the early ones show that it shouldn't cost 6k or 18k or a million to deck out a practical comfy interior...just look at that pop out real basin like used to be in homes!
I wonder; why can’t we design products like this any more (in general) ? Not only the caravans but the cars look so much better in the 40-50-60’s
