Remember when Little Ceasers pizza really used to mean that you got two pizzas for the price of one....packaged in those bags on the cardboard bottom.....invariably, the paper bag top would slowly sag into the middle of the pizzas as you were driving home to eat. I worked at Little Ceasers when I was 16, I am 50 now, and I swear to God that I never worked harder in my life especially Friday nights during high school football season and New Years day bowl games....haha...good Lord

Yup! The paper sleeve would say, "this one you pay for" then the section above the other pizza said, "this one you don't." Even into the early 90's it was still awesome pizza. I think it's still decent today, but they cheapened their image for so long with the hot 'n ready model that people turn their noses at it.

Most fast food now is precooked in factories, bulked up with fillers to cheapen the cost, loaded with chemical preservatives to keep it from perishing during transit, and shipped prepackaged, ready to be unsealed and heated through at the restaurant. A very, very different process from what it used to be, when each store had to source most of their foods locally through wholesalers and cooked/prepared nearly all of it fresh, daily, on location.

@@Amp661 Someone in the one of the other commercial compilation videos mentioned that up until around the late 80s or early 90s, Taco Bell franchises made most of their food fresh. They had to source ground beef locally and get vegetables from a wholesale grocer; the most the corporation provided food-wise was the spice packets for the meat. I think that changed shortly after Yum! Brands acquired the corporate property along with KFC and Pizza Hut. Not coincidentally, the food from those restaurants all went to shit around the same time.

These are great. What a great decade the 80s was - especially from 1984 to 1988. That B96 commercial just shows how amazing music was back then. Even commercials were good in the 80s. Now, I can't stand to watch commercials or listen to today's radio. Thank you for posting this.

Taco Bell was so good in the 80's. It's complete garbage now.

Even if it was better in the 80's, I still like Taco Bell today.

BK, McDonald's...they all are. they're sad shades of themselves. It's all about filler foods and less quality.

@@mikezimmerman9547 Exactly, What happened are Hedge funds.. they are run by banks and all they care about is the short term, profit per share. All that matters is the short term profit margin for the share holders, not the customer. Bad quality and bad service... long lines since they cut the staff down to nothing. There are plenty of local independent places to go to that will have the good quality and service.

They all live by the 21st century business philosophy of "less is more:" Less product, more price.

I was 18 years old in 1985 so all of these commercials hold a special place in my heart. Like @ 3:02... That's the commercial for The movie Once Bitten with Jim Carey, Lauren Hutton, and Cleavon Little. Seeing that commercial made me go to the drive-in theater to see it on a Friday night in '85 :-)

Awesome! It would be neat if the fast food places would go retro and serve meals in packages bearing their old vintage logos...
