Probably some factory method. I doubt you can do this at home sadly. Unless you’re well off

We use thixon adhesive from Dow.

what turning tools did you use? i'm making 38mm diameter and 13mm thick wheels, and it's a nightmare... i'm using a polished carbide cutter, used by the automotive industrie to cut plastics with... now i'm thinking of mounting the cutter in a routher and the router in the toolpost... so i rotate the material and mill it with the router... it's giving me nightmares :D

Use only sharp high speed steel bits and sand it with medium grit sandpaper.
