The retractable mesh gate is secured between two hardware mounted wall brackets. To open the gate, unlatch the plastic handles from the adjacent wall bracket by rotating the unlocking knob, allowing the mesh to retract. The door of the retractable outdoor child safety gate is made with a claw-resistant durable mesh, which also has UV protected and the easy grip handle easily retracts in a manner that only requires one hand to operate. The option for leaving the mesh child safety gate retracted becomes convenient for multiple passes in and out of the area you are securing. All screws, catch mounts, wall spacers and an installation guide are included for simple, do it yourself assembly and installation.

Pro tip: if you don't want it "babyproofed", just stick some toothpicks in the lock at the top and then add a couple drops of super glue. Permanently "unlocked".

Does this gate have to be installed straight across from brackets? I want to use this on the front door to keep dog from running out. Retractable part will be around corner from door a bit and attach the hooks to the door. It will be a sligbt curve. Will it still work?
I think I need to return my gate because my baseboards are shaped differently.

Hey @Celina, its depends where you want to install it. After installing ours, I found out that this type of gate are best between the doors and not at the stairs, you can see on a little video I made here kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZY2EtpKGeJWWgKQ.html&ab_channel=ChouseMolla-Storm

@@mollachouse Also there are spacers included, I used all 3 spacers at the top to make up for the baseboard.
